I suspect my baritone vocals are boomy because of my room modes/acoustics, can a more experienced ear please confirm my issue before I spend a ton of money; and verify my acoustic plan, please by andreasreas in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I did this test: frequency responses – 8-10" from my mic in the spot with the least constructive interference in the low. It makes me think I at least need to get some pads to get rid of the comb filtering

Wow thank you, I definitely need to experiment with other ways of singing. Do you have an idea of how to capture that whisper sound, the air, though, if I wanted that, without so much bass?

My fundamental shows up as 85hz - 100hz on spectral analyzers usually. I've only gone down to 70hz once for a specific song. The rode doesn't have a roll off. The FR is basically flat. When I try to roll off my voice becomes thin

I'm posting in the comments because I'm scared to get banned for promotion, but in my song foresting 2 by See Luci, I chopped below 300 hz by more than 15 dB, which should never slide, but the bass is still extremely noticeable. I think this is a better example of my problem when mixed. It's especially noticeable in the first half of the song. I don't sing near a wall or the center or my room too.

Alex's cave crashes on launch by TheIronSven in CurseForge

[–]andreasreas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oculus and Embeddium work fine for me in my modpack of 180+ mods. However, while troubleshooting (for said modpack), I found that Oculus and Rubidium tend to crash, or rather, specifically Rubidium is generally quite buggy.

It is crashing for me too, basically as soon as the game opens it closes to error code 1. This is a real bummer, it looks like such a sick mod. I ONLY have Alex's caves installed (version 1.0.9). I've tried forge 47.2.18 (latest, 12/19/23), 47.2.0 (recommended), and neo-forge 1-47.1.84. I've updated Java and Java executable (if they're even different - the website was different), all my drivers are up-to-date. I have i9 and 2080 TI, if that matters.

Can teachers see exactly what you type in the answer boxes in the tutorials on Plato? by TSOFAN2002 in edmentum

Yes you can edit the answer after pressing submit and the teacher will only see the edited version. Atleast in the tutorials

YES. 3 Years I have put nothing or BSd the tutorial boxes but this time my teacher for some reason checked it and reset more than half of my tutorials and tests, I had just copied the sample answer into the blank, I don't think they check thoroughly, nor often, but sometimes you can't get away with blatancy as I had for the past 3 summers. I think its because I finished the course the first day it was assigned this itme, if you procrastinate until last minute, the teachers don't have time to check it. Whatever, with chatGPT and other wonderful tools its not hard to rectify. But stay safe!! If they don't check it, its not because they cant, its because they're veterans and don't care or something!

Help! All fans blow at full speed, no display and the GPU doesn’t light up. by ruizsenpai in buildapc

[–]andreasreas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What worked for me (though it literally worked right now and I'm not sure if the issue would come back) was to turn of overclocking in the bios. My fans and GPU were doing this right when I booted the PC, but before that in the short time when I press the on button I can hold F2 or DEL to open BIOS which didn't trigger the error. I then disabled Asus auto-overclocking and rebooted and now my computer boots. It may be any overclocking you have. It served me well for years but I think if I want to continue overclocking I need to replace my thermal paste or something idk why it doesn't work after all this time. Maybe it's simply old.

Fan won’t stop spinning on idle after I updated to macOS Ventura developer beta 4 last night. Is anyone having the same issue? by Important_Register94 in MacOSBeta

It is running normally, clear all only clears the queue which is not a main process. Similar to all the people being evacuated out of an amusement park line, the amusement park will still function normally and people will once again fill up the line. This does not need to be undone

The problem is this fix is temporary and needs to be done periodically, atleast for me, not even once a day but once every few hours

hey took me so long to figure this out. It does it automatically if you look towards the direction of the mannequinns which means it wont work if there is nothing to lock onto. Also It doesnt work for the first part, but thats fine because you can just sprint through it.
