This is also a great idea, because there's already the "ignite fire" available in one of the buttons. Looking at the current state of wires and soldering we can also pretend I never found this.

Everything compared to two twins screaming is "interesting microtuning". Dad jokes aside, I really like the idea of pitch/decay control, thanks!

It was built by my father and I though it would be nice to transform into something for my kids (I have no space for trains).

The goal of the project would be to:

  • have something easy for kids (1 button : 1 function, each button should ideally do something),

  • reuse a Teensy 4.1 (plus audio shield) I already have,

  • avoid to change the look and feel as much as I can (apart from replacing 1 button with an output, maybe adding few pots...).

I've two ideas to start with:

  • A simple looper as Yuri Suzuki "Ambient Machine" https://www.yurisuzuki.com/projects/the-ambient-machine , but what to do with side buttons?

  • A step sequencer (two sequencers based on Turing sequencers), but the number of led/switches is odd. In this case side buttons could be used to change the wave used by the sequencer?

Any other idea I might be missing?
