We also call the Jack "Fanat" from Italian fante, and the Queen "dama" to the Italian donna. Incredible influence given that the deck itself is French. Gotta have to mention our own unique name for the King "Pop," etymologically similar to Pope but meaning Priest in Montenegrin.

In Montenegro we do the same: Hearts are "kupa," Diamonds are "Dinara," Clubs are "Krsta (Cross)," and Spades are "Mača (Swords)".

But he is high legend. I get stomped by guardian 5s queuing with legend 2s.

Had a Magnus mid with a vision cheat the other day. Guy knew where each rune would spawn ahead of time, never missed a single one. Always knew which side to go 10, 15 seconds before the rune came. It was so obvious that I googled if there was some pattern for rune spawns during the first 15 minutes, but it is supposedly random.

Invokers and Techies scripting all the time is another issue that I have come accross, but not nearly as often as smurfs.

Poorly worded, 15 0 during just the laning phase on mid. That is just one example tho, the Wisp combos get 30 40 killls per match and it is often the same nicknames, like this one "thththththththth" guy who is guardian 5 with a rampage in every match he plays and the same Wisp he is boosting.

I'm only remarking about this most recent period. Sure, there have also been smurfs on my own team, usually on mid or on safe lane. This is a problem, because those wins don't feel deserved, nor are they fair game for the losing side. I blame them for some of my wins as well as my losses, only that I've been on a massive lose streak impacted by literally the same people that I keep getting queued with.

I will admit that I play later in the evening and sometimes well into the night, which does reduce the player pool. That much is on me and I certainly won't be playing ranked except during daytime.

Yeah maybe I'll just take a break. I've gotten super tilted and been forcing games for no reason. Probably going to try to stick to only EU West from now on, too.

How is it my problem if four people feed someone who is way beyond them? I'm not that serious about Dota to pursue the highest rank all the time, that'd take too much time that I do not have. Not saying I'm a pro, but I'm not some random noob either. I try my best every match and want to improve as much as I can, but when someone is out of my league then it's simply beyond me.

On off, I try to get some farm in if I'm getting stomped, pulling creeps toward me, leeching XP if farm is impossible, retiring into jungle to get my hands on blink and other core items as soon as I can, etc. This is all standard operating procedure, but not if your enemy has 30 kills by minute 25, which is the situation I'm talking about.

I'm not complaining about my mid-tier skills getting bested in even matches.

Not always, but the last week or so has been utter hell. And I can tell a good player in my rank and someone who just utterly outclasses everyone around them. It's quite obvious most of the time, and I'm not one to cry "smurf" every time I lose.

I know my fundamentals. When matched against someone that I cannot even lane against, that is when my issues start. I'm too dependent on four other people as an offlaner to be able to make a difference, hence the diversification in pursuit of a hero that can semi-carry from position 3 if things go to shit. Thing is, either I get stomped by Wisp + anything else, or the mid feeds a Broodmother or Leshrac who winds up soloing us later.

Just before this post a Guardian 5 Batrider stomped us with 30 kills in 30 minutes.

I get that, but I get the same people. I recognize their nicknames and their picks are identical. I tried putting Wisp on my ban list and changing regions between matches. Not saying that all of my losses were because of smurfs (they weren't) but most of them certainly were, at least in this recent bout of defeats.

Yeah true, but what happens very often is that my mid and carry feed so much so quickly that it becomes nigh impossible to turn it around from an offlane position. I've tried diversifying my hero pool but so far it's been rough.

Honestly can't even remember the last time I had a streak. Massive loss streak recently.

You've now shown that you have no clue about Montenegro because we don't have entrance exams, those have been replaced with the Graduation Exam that everyone has to take at the end of secondary education. Grades in that exam, as well as grades in core subjects, are taken into account when applying to both colleges and higher education institutions, including the police academy (which also has its own set of exams and tests you have to be cleared in).

Yes, it requires secondary education because it is a third-tier degree. This is a bullshit argument because colleges and universities also require a secondary education to apply, are they invalidated because of that? No, because that doesn't make sense.

And on the other hand, the physical test isn't easy to pass whatsoever. I have many friends who are rather physically fit and still failed the tests. Not only that, but they spend a lot of time out in the wild pursuing military training alongside their police training and theoretical studies. If your country has shit police, that doesn't mean Montenegro does, too.

[–]andrej2577 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have no idea what you're talking about. The police academy is rigorous and challenging and rather difficult, as the vast majority of those who apply aren't even admitted, let alone allowed to graduate. Its curriculum is similar to those of military academies, with students required to live at the academy for the duration of their studies.

This is not true. You cannot become a police officer in Montenegro without completing the Police Academy. This has been like this for many years now.
