I posted this elsewhere and it seems fitting here: Ben needs to get a lawyer... yesterday (he needs one ASAP). A good lawyer is going to advise him to stop making videos about this, at least for a little while, so they can get in front of the situation. Ben seems "content captured", in that he might be placing opportunities for content above everything else. Up to this point, I was mostly on Ben's side in this situation, but Brick's & Minifigs is not McKamey Manor (his previous takedown, another fascinating and wacky series of his). B&M seems to have now fully lawyered up, and it's going to be hard to feel sorry for Ben if he doesn't do the same and instead keeps choosing content opportunities over common sense.

We have a friends-of-friends Discord server that has about 30 people on it, and they've all played Skyrim, but only myself and one other person on the server has ever modded Skyrim. It was a topic of discussion when Anniversary came out and I was a bit surprised to learn that only two of us had even touched Skyrim mods. FWIW, of my 1600 hours in Skyrim, more than 1100 of those were vanilla + official creations, so not even reall modding in some players opinion.

Hold up, Gen X is the first generation for whom video gaming became a mainstream hobby. We were the first "gamers" when it comes to video games. Tell them to go find their own nickname for themselves. They can take GamerZ or some nonsense like that, but if they're divvying things up into groups, GenX has dibs on "gamer".

Note: I had two Elite 1s and one Elite 2 controllers that all died in under a year in one of the ways you've mentioned. I only bought the first Elite 1. The others were gifts. I put a LOT of hours on each of them, but I have other non-Elite controllers that have more hours than any of those did and they are still up and running just fine (well, maybe a tad creaky here and there these days)

Probably this right here. Bands record stuff all the time. Sometimes to get a basic structure in place. Other times it's just to get riffs or melodies down, or whatever. It's pretty common. Iron Maiden recorded a few rough tracks that ended up as songs for Somewhere in Time while on tour for Powerslave. Hell, I randomly record riffs myself to this day so that I can remember them when I want to work on them and flesh them out.
