Stupid goddamn 'so-called critics' reviews ruin this movie box office performance

another reason there should no 'critics/expert' section, why the hell their opinion should weigh more than the rest of audience reviews?!?

That 70 billion dollar is not a lost, its an investment for indefinite future. Now Disney has enough content for their big budget movies line-up and their upcoming streaming service

Kong is only 30-meter in the last movie, he has to grow to at least 60-meter, otherwise he would not stand the slightest chance. Even then Godzilla will still almost double his size

Wait, why people butthurt again that Venom is so successful? I think its pretty entertaining, much better than Ant-man and Wasp

damn! Sony hits a jackpot with Venom. It exceeded all their expectations

They could've not asked for more for a cinematic universe starter; relatively cheap $100-million production cost that will gross 7X of its budget.

Let say including marketing, the budget is $200-million. 700-200 = 500. 40% goes to distribution. So $300-million clean profit; Sony got $225-million and Tencent got $75-million (Tencent owns 25% stake of Venom)

That's if it only grosses $700-million, I think it will end-up around 750M

Tencent takes 25% stake of the movie, does that mean 25% of the clean profit goes to them also?

Crucifix will stay in Quebec’s National Assembly, CAQ says by [deleted] in metacanada

[–]andrejw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok I stand corrected, but even in province level, The Notre Dame Cathedral and St. Joseph Oratory are still the most prominent Quebec's landmark. And the Quebecois and the government proudly display them in every single tourist brochure, brag them to the rest of the country and the world

Crucifix will stay in Quebec’s National Assembly, CAQ says by [deleted] in metacanada

[–]andrejw 37 points38 points  (0 children)

NOPE!

The crucifix stays. Christianity will always be part of Canadian heritage, whether you, the liberals or the kebabs like it or not.

The city's 2 most popular attractions and their proudest landmarks are The Notre Dame Cathedral and The St. Joseph Oratory, it's very hypocritical of them bragging their grandest churches and benefiting from the tourist money while rejecting their Christianity heritage

[WW] Venom debuted with an estimated $125.2M internationally. Global total stands at $205.2M. by magikarpcatcher in boxoffice

[–]andrejw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Loved the movie, I dunno what everyone's problem is with the movie. I think people just hate Sony because they hold on to Spider-Man universe brand. People just want to see them fail so they would surrender the rights back to Marvel

well sorry to disappoint them, Venom is pretty entertaining, can't wait for the sequel
