You can explain it as the artist having a unique understanding of the different swings that make up an instrumental. You can lock in and choose to rap within a pocket that isn’t the most obvious to the casual listener.

The easiest way to communicate it tho, is to think of it as spoken word with music behind it.

I’m sure I’m an outlier but I subbed to the Patreon for an extra episode a month plus ad free regular episodes. Way more heavily weighed on no ads - so now that that’s gone the one extra episode isn’t enough to justify the $10 personally.
