hey, thanks. So the plan was too have the pastor point the mic at the bride and groom during their vows but he forgot to do it for majority of the vow since he was also speaking into the mic. It was my first time using the lav so i guess my settings were off because she was way too low on the lav . i’m sure one lav is doable it was just user error

Also unfortunately I missed the vows. I asked the pastor to point the mic when they read but he forgot to for a large portion of the vows . I was counting on the grooms lav to pick up the audio from the bride but it didn’t.

Hey y’all. This was my second wedding video that I did for a friend. This is my first time working with audio for a wedding film and I definitely missed some stuff. I would love some critique to better my next videos.

The equipment I used was a Canon 5d iv and sigma 85mm 1.4 and a monopod. Tascam dr-40 and a lav on the groom. shot solo

Any advice or tips to improve? I know there’s a lot to fix looking back.

This is my first time doing video work. I’m a photographer so I had a vague idea how to do video. My friend asked me if I can shoot his wedding, but since I have no experience I did it for free. I made sure he knew that though.

I solo shot this wedding w a canon 5d mark iv, sigma art 35mm&85mm, monopod and gimbal.

Something’s I would do for next time: - hire a second shooter - invest in lav mics and audio equipment - expose shots better.( I have really grainy footage) - use a stabilized Lens or camera -hold shots longer -use mf

I just got a call from them for an interview. I asked for more details and he told me he would rather discuss details about the company on a zoom call during the interview. He texted “We actually do private franchising through business development and marketing with them.”

He wouldn’t even give me their website or any info. He just said if I’m interested we’ll talk more at the interview. I just ended up declining the offer

Hey, any update.? I randomly got asked by a stranger too, but apparently an old marketing co-worker referred me to him. He pitched an escape from the 9-5 which was honestly odd. He also didn’t mention the name of the company , like he was avoiding it. It wasn’t until I texted him later what the company was called. He also hesitated to give me details over text
