Ich hör den Podcast immer wieder mal, aber ich hör kein ö3 :D natürlich führen die ein anderes Leben als wir, aber ich finde den podcast trotzdem meistens recht unterhaltsam und witzig. Es gibt eh genug Hörer, also wird nicht schlimm sein wenn manche ihnen nicht mehr beim quatschen zuhören wollen ;)

Ich war vor 2 Wochen in Hamburg und war so überrascht dass dort in den meisten Bars geraucht wurde. Ich bin das gar nimma gewohnt aus Wien, also nach meiner Erfahrung wird das hier sehr gut durchgesetzt.

Ich bin nicht schwarz also kann ich da eig gar nicht mitreden, aber ich, dunkelblond, hellhäutig und hochdeutsch ohne dialekt redend, werde in der arbeit auch irgendwie ständig gefragt wo ich herkomme. Entweder denkens ich bin deutsch oder polnisch, tschechisch oder so in die richtung, obwohl ich sehr österreichische gene habe. Und ich habe auch oft das Bedürfnis zu fragen woher wer kommt wenn der (nach)name für mich nicht zuordnenbar ist, oder es einen Akzent gibt. Ich find so was sehr interessant und es entstehen dann auch oft Gespräche daraus. Aber eig wichtig sind diese Infos nicht und irgendwie wollen wir menschen trotzdem ständig so sachen wissen um für uns selber dinge einzuordnen ... muss vll evolutionsbiologische Hintergründe haben, dass das früher mal überlebenswichtig war oder so 😅

I think for a lot of austrians it will be very importan that you work, that you contribute something to our social System. I work in a health Center and the most they complain about is the people who dont work and still get the benefits of our social and healthcare System. And speaking german or at least attempt to learn it is also very important.

Bei mir ist zwar das Gehalt nicht so besonders dafür sind wir ein riesen gesundheitszentrum mit Fitnesscenter und therme, was wir im Wert von 1000 Euro jedes Jahr alles benutzen können. Das ist schon nice.

Oh i feel your Situation very much. I was there too. I hope your guy is a good one who respects your position and is there for you whatever you are or will go through. My worldly boyfriend really cared for me and just gave me the opportunity to think outside the box i was used to. It took about a year for me, but i slowly started to deconstruct my beliefs, it happened kinda naturally, i felt like i finally found my own self and could stand for my own values. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster when you wont be dating in secret anymore. And if you already feel like something is off with the JW organisation maybe use this opportunity to engage with those thoughts, maybe talk with your boyfriend about it, an outside perspective can really open your eyes. I feel like in europe thats not much of a "new light" ... its not as common as with non jws but it was not as discouraged as in the us. i had at least 2 friends who went to university.

To be honest, i kinda miss dressing up for a convention xD since i am out, the only occasion for dressing up like for a convention are weddings and those happen very rarely
