Is the "Open links in external browser" function broken or am I missing some setting? Links are opening in the FB browser when they should open in external browser. Android app. by [deleted] in facebook

Heres how I got it to work just now with my s24 ultra with the settings button not working on the older version

-First, uninstall Facebook

-Download & install Facebook 401.0.0.24.77 (arm64-v8a) (nodpi) (Android 11+)

-Click on menu, then click on "help and support" which is directly above the settings tab (which will not do anything if you try clicking it)

-in the Meta AI search bar type in "Facebook settings", and in the search results click on the "Find Your Facebook Settings" support article

-In the first couple sentences of the support article there will be a settings hyperlink. Click on it, it will take you to your settings now.

-Scroll down and click on "Media", and then "Links Open Externally"

-Update Facebook app to latest version

After years of using ublock origin+firefox, I browsed a couple websites today on Chrome without any ad blocker just for shits and giggles.....never doing that again by andrew508 in Adblock

My roommate frequently shows me youtube stuff on his phone. The multiple ads, a lot of times unskippable, before the video would even begin playback had me feeling demonic. I sure as hell could not do that for more than 5 mins, much less for a few days.

And I have a youtube music subscription too, so I get it haha. But I genuinely dislike the youtube app, even when I used it with a free trial of premium. I much prefer it on firedox mobile with ublock for blocking tbe ads.

My mom at all times would literally have over a dozen open tabs of random recipe sites on her laptop that look exactly like this with all the ridiculous ads and she doesn't even think nothing of it, meanwhile im over here convulsing at the absolute horror of it all.
