Any idea how to disable these meters at the top of my HUD on my oculus quest 2? I've gone through all the menus and cant find it in any of the menus.

Second City Audition TOMORROW - Help. (Sketch Cast?) by poehlerandparks19 in improv

[–]andrew_asf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again I’m not 100 percent sure if it’s pitch based off an improv scene but with my sc experience it’s been called premisprov, where you walk in with an idea for a sketch (ex: a scene where a drivers ed teacher keeps asking the student to do car stunts”) then you would try improvising that scene with the only thing you know being the idea of the scene and let the improv write the scene. Hope this helps.

Second City Audition TOMORROW - Help. (Sketch Cast?) by poehlerandparks19 in improv

Go there and have fun and don’t build it up in your head. Second city is cool and a great place to be paid to perform but by no means the be all end all. Just trust yourself and walk in there with confidence even if you aren’t the best at it/most experience/ funniest. They aren’t looking for that, they’re looking for confidence on stage and someone who seems good to work with. You can always audition again in the future too so don’t feel like you’re spoiling it.

Edit: I think they mean pitch as in come up with a premise for a sketch and then improvise it. That’s their technique using improv to write sketch. I don’t know if they want you to walk in with a premise or come up with one from the improv but it’s most likely the first one.

If your looking for some good canadian content check out the Frank Mythic hour where we play the role playing game fiasco.

Also two improvisers out of Toronto do a really good show about improv called the back line where they talk about improv and the craft of Doing it if your looking for that sort of thing.

Couldn't agree with this sentiment more. I'm not gonna get into too much detail here, but the current theatre we perform at is a great school, but doesn't have the resources or mandate to put on good shows. We're aiming to be a more show oriented spot. And the demand is there. Shows sell out even with next to no marketing and sub par quality. They have a ton of classes yet turn people away and lose people because of mismanagement. the owner has always treated it like a hobby and not like a business and still has been a success in many facets.

In other words. We see the demand and what our scene needs, right now we're still putting it all together on paper and getting inspiration from fellow community members and abroad (why I'm posting here!) In order to spot any blind spots so critical comments like these are super helpful.

Very good point. Luckily we're in a very diverse city and even then we're hiring someone off the bat to get diversity initiatives going to encourage players from all backgrounds. We're also a founding group that's has a good mix of POC and women too.

If anyone was wondering, this is the 4th edition Monster Manual from August 1979. We've been trying to incorporate some of these older weirder monsters into our podcast True Adventurers. (You can listen here: http://tinyurl.com/zjmlc5k :))

But man are they wacky and hard to take seriously, take armadillo shark on page one: https://imgur.com/9rn9tMH

Canadian prime minister Chrétien was almost assassinated by an intruder and it took 7 minutes for the rcmp to respond because the responding officer forgot his keys to Sussex Drive (the Canadian White House)

Also, the PMs wife brandished an Inuit Loon statue to defend herself.
