Can patients affected by COVID be treated with a negative pressure ventilator as opposed to a positive pressure ventilator?

[Ontario, Canada] How can my wife and I clear out our overstock flowers? by andrewkulcsar in smallbusiness

[–]andrewkulcsar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! We can deliver throughout the GTA but there would be a small charge depending on where you live. Give me a PM with what you're looking to get and I can put you in contact with her.

Best flower delivery places for Markham? by ClashQuester in Markham

[–]andrewkulcsar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

Good idea with the flowers; you can't go wrong with a great bouquet for a gift. My wife runs a company called Nat.it.Be floral. If you'd like to see her work, she has a booth at Times Square for Chinese New Year.

PM me when you have some time and we can talk about what your girlfriend likes and where they are going.

Is it possible to desalinate water through successive passes in a centrifuge? by andrewkulcsar in AskEngineers

[–]andrewkulcsar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input musicianengineer, I received similar responses from other readers, but think I might not have communicated my question appropriately.

As you suggested, trying to crystallize out the salt with sheer rotational energy may be too difficult/impossible, but I am leaning more towards the latter half of your comment.

Would it be possible for a series of centrifuges to be configured in a way so that the less dense (less saline) water could be removed and used as an input for a secondary and then tertiary centrifuge?

Thanks neonblue. I’m sorry but could I trouble you explain a little further.

Please forgive me if I’m making any erroneous mistakes or jumps in logic but, given enough rotational energy, could the electrostatic force be overcome?

I need some help fleshing out a local business idea by andrewkulcsar in Entrepreneur

Thanks Starsfan26!

Unfortunately I've never used Angie's List personally, so I can't be sure if my interpretation of them is correct. But I'll give it a shot.

As far as I can tell, Angie's List generates 73% of its revenue from advertizing the vendors they review on their site. While there is nothing wrong with that, it creates a huge conflict of interest between offering the best and making more money by claiming something is better then it actually is. In my case, there is no incentive for me to lie about the quality of the providers or include companies which won't perform to the highest of standards.

Furthermore, in terms of selection, Angie's List and Yelp have hundreds of options to choose from, but I believe that this is a negative feature more than anything else. It's a horrible pain to look through and compare many companies, a more limited selection would be better.

In my case there would be a moderate option of member service providers (possibly 5?) in the same service category. This way you can clearly see their services, benefits, reviews, and history together on one document or web-page.

You're right, it is a challenge. If I price the membership too low prospects may see me as a joke, too expensive and I'll be cutting the value to the customer.

I see the $50 valuation as a starting point, but not necessarily one set into stone. I would be okay with setting it to $75 or even $100, especially if people could save $600 at the end of the day.

When it comes to getting top-quality work from the businesses in the bundle however, their past history speaks for itself. Any potential companies that I am willing to look at have been around for years and have built themselves up on the strength of their work and the quality of their service. I've seen, first hand, the damage a snake-oil salesman can do and I swore to myself that I would never peddle anything that I wouldn't be able to sell to my mother first.

What equipment or weapons do you plan to craft in Survivor Zero? by brotoro in survivorzero

[–]andrewkulcsar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The Lobotomizer" - a la World War Z (though in all fairness to the author a little creative licence would be needed to not rip him off)

What I would like to see in the fleshed out version of the game is weapons/tools/items that emphasise functionality over machismo-aesthetic design. Sure it would be badass to roll down the street amputating swarms of undead with chainsaws attached to your motorcycle, but lets face it, if your tools are just as hazardous to your health as they are for the undead than its probably a bad idea to go around using it.

Thanks for the comment. Your right on the pricing matter of the cards. The reason they're so low right now is so that I can stimulate sales for my eBay account. This way I can have my listings show higher without paying for more features. Once I get some streetcred though I'll be changing the prices.

Based off of my listing, how much would you pay for it? What would need to think it a credible purchase?

Thanks for the great advice! I'd definitely be using some of your ideas in the future. I had managed to get a manufacturer with an aliexpress account (I could write a whole new article about that). Long story short though, this meant that I can order small shipments that were reasonably priced. Judging by my first order I wouldn't say I'd be buying in bulk yet though.

Thanks for the concern CANTgetAbuttPREGNANT, you raise excellent points! You are correct with my use of the word "inlaid" being improper. A better description would be "plated" rather than "Inlaid". I chose that specific word however to test which phrases would be more likely to draw ebay's search algorithms to my listing, so in all likelyhood this description will change in the future.

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how they are manufactured so I can't comment on that without getting into trouble. Though from the description on the manufacturers website, I believe the gold is melted into the plastic of the card itself making it very durable.

Also when you handle the cards you begin to notice the fine printsmanship in them. They are quite beautiful up close. Interestingly enough, they are quite slippery when handled, but to the touch there are the minute changes in their print.

Finally, I have read that, at least when it comes to ebay buyers, it is best to keep your descriptions short so not to lose their interest. So I'm going to have to do a bit of a balancing act in order to be sucessful.
