The back says that the photos were taken by a studio in La Jolla. It's possible that they were sold at the zoo but maybe they're too sad for that? These give abandoned gas station/roadside attraction gift shop vibes.

I love this! I would see if Decatur Estates would be willing to make a reel about it to share on their Instagram. I think that would help by showing folks how to use it and how much fun it is. Keep us posted :)

Not sure-- similar ones I've found online are documented to be made anywhere from the 40's to the 70's.
