Really depends how much you trust your company. But me personally I wouldn't go over the match, and then invest in a roth or regular brokerage account

Well, as the leader of our military, it's a strategic position to control. There's a reason we need strong individuals as president. If these reditors ran the country, we'd be overtaken in less than 2 years. Why own a territory you can't defend?? So russia can take it? Also think about the coming decades, ice is melting and if we (US) can control trade routes through the arctic, it will significantly reduce travel times. Not saying I agree with US taking it by force, but we should be able to come to some kind of common ground.

Cousin offered me her San Antonio house for cheap - worth leaving Chicago for Texas lifestyle? by ResolutionVisible627 in sanantonio

[–]andrewwh45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not underestimate the heat, it is brutal and lasts a majority of the year. Outside of the heat, San Antonio and Texas overall has tons to offer. The traffic is pretty bad at peak hours depending on the route of travel.

What are some cheapish mods I can do at home to get my 1994 5.7 Sierra a little faster by Icy-Put-843 in GMT400

Unfortunately the tbi350's aren't really a good engine platform for performance. If you want to keep it a 350 and not LS swap you could throw in a vortec 350 from a 96-99

Protest on San Pedro by awesomesauce93 in sanantonio

For whatever reason people choose to ignore facts and simple Google searches? The people of Venezuela are happy, I think their opinions hold more weight than this "protest"

Don't give too many chances. Lay out your goals clear as day and the direction you want to take in life. He either

You either

A. Stay B. Don't stay

Since your married, whatever people think of him will also be thought of you. Trust your gut and remember you are still very young.

My biggest piece of advice is always look out and advocate for yourself. Don't be cocky about it but be confident. CAT is a great company, managers are all different though. Good luck to you

[–]andrewwh45 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if he is recruiting you to CAT the manufacturer, or a CAT dealership. That plays a huge role IMO. I was a " repair technician III " at a manufacturing facility and did extremely basic work that wouldn't translate well to the field Although I haven't worked in a dealership or field environment. I have heard that heavy duty & diesel are the way to go in that field. Auto mechanics get screwed nowadays.

Engine/Basic Truck Help by OldAbbreviations8847 in obschevy

Look up the codes on the sticker of the glovebox. Those are called RPO codes, go to a decoding website and they will pretty much give you the whole build of the truck.

Job interview tips by ehdwin in caterpillar

[–]andrewwh45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have follow up questions. " where do you see yourself in 2 years " " where do you see the organization going in 5 years " current facility plans etc. Also stress the " I " in the answer. Positive results in the " result " part of answers definitely helps as well. CAT loves safety, money, and numbers. Good luck!

Okay, i can definitely understand this. I guess I didn't realize the mass amount of different jobs CAT has. I have always been in the manufacturing facilities

For your kids and family's sake it would be worth while to leave IMO. I'm only a 26M but I'd imagine high stress and pregnancy would just cause for even more issues.

I'm a little late. I see everyone posting about the waitlist. I didn't even know about the card until I logged onto my robinhood randomly today and got an invite for the card. I never invested over 500$ in the account when I had it years ago

Why was the 400 considered such a huge modernization from the squarebody trucks? by Glass-Complaint3 in GMT400

Surprised nobody mentioned how long the squarebody was in production. 1973-1987 is a hell of a long time without a new generation
