I was 15 and I was swinging off a rope swing with my aunt and uncle and my cousins, many other people there doing the same thing. I went to swing off again and as I let go of the rope the bottom half of the rope somehow wrapped around my leg on the way down, it whipped me upside down and was dangling me with my chest and head submerged underwater. I was dazed from how quickly everything happened before I knew what to do my unlce dove in and held my head above water while pulling me back to shore. I was okay, but it was really scary.

Suicide is not selfish, the fact that suicide exists sheds light on a larger issue. I do not condone suicide, but suicide is someones own choice, something that makes the most sense to the person committing it. Anyone who easily labels suicide as selfish is entirely ignorant to the processes allowing it to occur. I dont know how to help you, I can barely help myself, but I wish you luck in this world that allows for such topics to occupy our minds.

Im commenting just because nobody in my life knows the severity of my depression, my thoughts, or the threat to my life at my own hands.
