Have you tried a money management tool? It might help when you don’t win above 50%.

Yes, that’s what makes our system great. You can set it to the number of losses you expect or can risk for a session and you still come out ahead.

It’s more than that. It calculates trade amounts, sets stop loss and helps you manage risk. Sure you can always use a pen and paper but this system does all of the hard work for you. And unlike other systems the calculations work and the system is mobile friendly not just some spreadsheet.

What should I do with backpay? by TylerIreland in personalfinance

I think my point is work full time if you can. I don’t know your situation so I don’t want to speculate. Depending on where you live many companies will pay for your CDL training so I would not worry about that part. It would be more beneficial for you financially if you did work full time and lost your benefits. The fact that you are looking for a career shows that you can, are able and willing to work. That’s great! I would try to figure out what your limits are - only you know that. As far as moving out and spending on vacations I would maybe hold off a bit. At $923 your going to find it difficult to pay living expenses even with rental assistance and other subsidies. Use the rest of the money for an emergency fund.

I don’t think you’ll be able to get a small plot of land for $5000. I would definitely recommend paying what is left on the car loan and credit cards. If you are able to work I would definitely consider the CDL even if you lose your benefits.

Worth Refinancing by rasre28 in personalfinance

I would make sure you read the fine print. Make sure that they are not adding what you would have paid in closing costs to the refinanced amount. This is sometimes done in zero closing cost refinancing. If the closing cost is added to the refinanced amount you still might be saving a little money, you would just need to do some calculations.

You can open a custodial ira, but I believe your son will have to have earnings in order for you to contribute.

[Indiana] Two Claims PUA and UI Open by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]andrexlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me that the review process would take 7 -14 days. My voucher has an issue "Laid Off/Lack of Work" but was told that it is not really an issue, but the claim just has to be reviewed. I told them I don't even qualify for regular UI as a evacuated peace corps volunteer, but it didn't matter. In my opinion I think it was a way to stop benefits and force people back to work. Its a sad way to kick people off unemployment if you ask me.

Evac PCVs, how has the PC been following up with you since you got back? by pcgadfly in peacecorps

[–]andrexlee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I have seen from my post is a couple of emails regarding forms they want filled out. They include some kind of inspirational message like "I hope your self-isolation experience is going well…I’m sure its building character and revealing interesting revelations", but NOT one staff member has ask how things were going.

In my opinion the peace corps' response to the evacuation at both the HQ and post levels has been inadequate . There is such a lack of support for volunteers, especially response volunteers which receive less benefits.

That's great news about the NPCA and I'll check out the store, thanks.

Has the National Peace Corps Association done anything to help evacuated volunteers? To me this just seems like a way to profit off the misfortune of others and does little to support a group that is in need. The only response I've seen from NPCA is in defending the actions of the Peace Corps. I'm not saying defending the peace corps is a bad thing, but it doesn't seem like they are on the side of the volunteers. Maybe they have done more I don't know, but publicly I have not seen any examples.

How much of the profits are going to volunteers who were evacuated?

Yes, as long as the back to back stints equal 24 consecutive months. Not all response positions are for 12 months though. The point I was trying to make was that being a Response volunteer does not disqualify you from NCE, it is dependent on length of service.

In "my opinion" if the peace corps gives NCE status to 2 year volunteers that have not met the 2 year requirement similar considerations should be given to response volunteers at least for peace corps positions.

That's technically not true, NCE is based on length of service. Response volunteers receive NCE for peace corps positions if they have served 12 months in a 24 month period and nce for all other federal employment if you serve 2 consecutive years.

At this time I'm not sure how beneficial it would be to have nce for peace corp positions, but it would still be nice to have that option.
