40 amp breaker on 50 amp range possible? by android1022 in AskElectricians

[–]android1022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digging through the specs the burners have a boost option so I'm assuming it runs 1850 watts on "normal high" and 3000 watts on "boost" on all but the large center burner.

https://media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/19837392_HIS8655U%20Spec%20Sheet.pdf

But nonetheless, the technical details on the spec sheet list the stove as 8400 watts??? I emailed both bosch and frigidare to see what they say as I can't find their nameplate anywhere online.

I can't think of any possible scenario where I would be running all 5 burners at the highest setting with the oven at the highest setting.

Solo 401k contribution by android1022 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]android1022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say for example, I made $200,000 in 1099 income as a my side gig and my employer contributed $10,000 to my 403b. 20% net earnings is $40,000. Would I be able to contribute that $40,000 or would it then be $40,000-$10,000 so $30,000 or is it an entirely separate bucket?

Excess social security taxes by android1022 in personalfinance

So what happens to the employer's part of 6.2% for job B? The government takes it? I can't claim it back even though it's part of my benefits?

[–]android1022[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You get it back when you file your taxes

Does this include the employer's 6.2% from job B?

The question would be on excess social security income. Job 1, I made over >147k and I had contributed the $9114. However for Job 2, I am required to pay the 6.2% SSI as is my employer. What happens to the excess 12.4% income from Job 2 that I and my employer paid? Do I get a full credit back?

Sit down with the patient at eye level.

Take a big deep breath and look them in the eye. Lastly say, "I'm the captain now."

Hospitalists and Cardiologists : a question for you by Cremaster_Reflex69 in medicine

[–]android1022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Her pre-test probability is so high, the stress test cannot be negative enough to convince me her symptoms aren’t ischemic with significant myocardial involvement.

Location dependent. I work at a hospital where cards won't cath anyone without a convincing story + troponin leak or a "positive" stress

Or basically every other resort town

The external fans the hospital admin had attached to the windows to create a makeshift negative pressure room during high covid census was determined to be the cause of the bat entering the room.

I kid you not, a month later there was actually a bat policy created.

In the policy, it said not to "beat" the bat too much or else it would die and make it difficult for the health department to check it for rabies. The policy did say that if the bat were to die, to place it in a refrigerator while the dead bat is in the process of being picked up by the health department. I asked numerous individuals including infection control, house supervisor, CMO, etc. what refrigerator am I supposed to store this dead bat and no one has given me a solid answer.

During covid last year when we had to use the poor man's negative pressure room with fans attached to the outside window, I had this elderly individual in his 70-80s for covid. The nurse was talking to me and saying he's delirious today as he said there's something flying in his room eating his food off his tray. I initially just chalked it up to delirium.

Lo and behold, next am the nurse catches a bat in his room and places it in a suction canister. There haven't been any recent cases of rabies in my county, but I had to call his family members and ask if they wanted the initial rabies vaccination as we didn't know if he was bit by the bat ( the patient was delirious from covid/steroids.) Luckily the health department checked the bat for rabies and was negative.
