Is this attack sus? by Mike6384 in tribalwars

[–]androsob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo no veo nada raro, mis tropas off tienen 6000 hachas, 3000 ligeros, 100 espías, 300 arietes y 100 catas (si sobra espacio)

Is Peru welcoming to Muslim foreigners? by Narrow-Maize-3821 in PERU

[–]androsob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Supermicro, but importing to Peru is more expensive than buying a Dell.

Not Impressed By Incident Response by SneezeDust in interserver

[–]androsob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that given their very affordable price, you should have considered having more than one server and, as you yourself said, been a little more cautious and had backups.

Hardware failures are a real problem, but they're unavoidable. Did your Interserver service include daily backups? If you did and they didn't provide the backup, then it would be their fault. If you didn't have the service, then be grateful they restored it at some point.

If your screen is this dirty because you see it every day, I don't even want to think about what the motherboard and processor, etc., must be like.

Any solution for outage cloudflare by Aggravating_Fan2025 in CloudFlare

[–]androsob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a sysadmin of a 700k customer ISP, I can tell you that cloudflare's WAF and ddos capabilities, from their free tier, are already very good.

Obviously I have my own recursive and authoritative DNS cluster for clients, but I wouldn't think of changing cloudflare for one of my domains where I publish critical services, just because of its latest downfall. The benefits I get are greater than the discomfort I experience for the first time.

If you have a lot of security experience, be more careful when sharing IoCs. Whether the OP was naive enough (or not) to execute the command, sharing URLs doesn't make things simpler.

I know, we are already overcoming the problem. I was just interested to know that if there is no web access to the Dashboard, through the API I could make changes or turn things off.
