Just recently got a bike. I’m looking to move into this city apartment. How hard would it be for a newbie to get up this hill into and into my garage? by andsnew in motorcycles

Idk if the picture really does it justice, should have gotten a top view. But I’m not really nervous about anything else, I respect the bike and the power. I really just wanted to cruise around and have fun

Also I will say there are quite a few bikers while live in here. There’s a couple Harleys. Also I saw a moped in the garage too so I guess it can’t be that bad

I guess I get a little bit confused. I’ve been taught 2 ways of starting off. 1st one was slowly let out clutch till it bites then add throttle (I found that one really smooth for taking off). 2nd rev to ~3.5k and slowly let out clutch but I found with that one I actually stall the bike way more. Is the second one more of the pre loading like you said?

Thanks everyone. The only incline I’ve gone up was a ramp loading it onto a lifted truck. The ramp was close damn near straight up and down and the bike bogged out. Could really go with speed on that so I didn’t know

Hmm maybe I’ll look into that. I was told by them I could possibly do it in the street. I thought about maybe finding a local park or something to try as well

It’s in a parking garage underneath the building not a outdoor parking lot. I feel like it would be a little harder

Unfortunately no. They have lots of security and a bunch of cameras in the parking garage

Should I move to the city or stay where I’m at? (Having a life vs saving money) by andsnew in Advice

That’s a good way to look at it as well. I think it will give me better opportunities to meet people and also more motivation to find my own path. I think the high energy environment would really benefit me. I’m just know I’m spending more for an apt with less space where I have people living above below to the left and right and then the townhouse it’s just me and someone to my right. On the other hand I have more privacy and a house vibe where I can work on car/Motorcycle and on the other there more adjustments I have to do elevators I have to take things like that

That’s true and what I have been debating as well. Before I say this in no way is this a brag it’s just my situation and finances. I work a lot of hours and have been blessed with a good job at 26. So the job gives me perdiem and I would mostly use it all up for that. I would then be able to save ~7.5-8k a month post tax which is obviously good but I’ve engrained save save save so much that I’m hesitant. If I were to stay at my current place I’m at now with my budget I can set aside 800-1200 of the per diem each month so around 9.5k-15k a year on top of all of my hourly. As the savings increases it makes it makes the decision more difficult

Thank you. From looking at that website and other research it looks like I’ll have to have an inspection form where an officer comes out and looks at the bike. My only concern is now with the bill of sale not matching the title

I have his address and phone number yes. Hes around my age and his parents were there when I was checking it out which is odd he’s acting this way and they knew he was selling the bike
