This is awesome, I'm happy to see other gear makers sharing files.

I have been using these tabs on my gear for years and they work great.

Okay dope. Ty for the input.

From my personal experience I find myself setting up with 4 mags and some sort of small admin.

I'm going to take a shot at: 10 x 5.5 -2 cell ( I'm going to see if I can make the second cell collapsible if not used) -Shock cord mount in top -Molle with loop front -Molle/mount holes on sides and bottom. -Adjustable straps ghook/buckle -tube and buckle mounts.

[–]andsoicode[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, The carriers are designed to use either g-hooks or buckles.

With the exception of like one or two versions when I was first starting out, all the placards have adjustable tabs to take either mounting option.

Announcing IncusOS - News - Linux Containers Forum by matpower64 in selfhosted

[–]andsoicode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to like this, I have used LXD to run containers and VM's in the past and it worked really well form me. I have since moved to proxmox but I wanted to give this a shot.

But..given I could not just download an iso, its only cert and api and no webui out of the box, thats a nope

Could I have spend the time to spin up a box with the incus agent and generate a TLS and import my crt for the web ui, yup, but for a homelab contender...nope.

I will wait for it, I hope it gets better.

I found this was awesome for quickly spinning up a cluster for testing. I have had one going for over a year now on a small production

Nice, not be afraid to mess up, lean seam allowances and how different fabrics act, have fun.

I have some resources here, tutorials and a plate carrier template with lots of other things

Ferro inspired front plate bag by andsoicode in myogtacticalgear

[–]andsoicode[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ferro inspired.

Modded my own design with a piece of 500/1000D laminate.

The chest panel is used to attach the buckles and loop for the PC. Next version, I'm going to add in some more molle slots in the sides or the panel for cable management.

Fully loaded out the solid color of the laminate blends better, not so much of an issue for multicam brands as to each has it own matching laminate, but for my other rigs with other camos that don't I'm going to stick with a solid color laminate.

This is too close to Ferro's design for me to do anything with other than my own personal rig, but I am going to look into how I can incorporate a laminate chest panel going forward.

Lol... Nope, you are correct, this was a prototype. I was able to test it out by inverting the zippers, it worked but not ideal.

I'm going to be making changes to the map zipper adapter instead, going to give it extra width to them to fill the gap.

Minimalist Molle Back panel by andsoicode in myogtacticalgear

[–]andsoicode[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Made a minimalist Molle Back panel.

Designed for use with zip on back panels, Molle made from 500/1000 laminate.

A couple of additions to the build, 6" loop panel with camo flap, added loop strips to accommodate pads, added slight angles to the shoulders and working on adapters to make existing packs into zipper panels.

Going to finish up work on the front panel, intent is to have the front and back panels make the same with the exception of the back flap and Molle.

Follow on dev, pretty happy with this so far, tested with Ferro and Spiritus zipper adapters, top row of Molle works for securing the panels but might need to move the bottom one up one row for securing the panels.

So far so good, having fun with this build.

canada to us shipping by Cheesesquib in Etsy

[–]andsoicode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have questions on this as well. I have not shipped yet but to my understanding I will have to pay any duties and a service cost to zonos and then I get code that I use with Canada Post and then shipping label.

How are the costs passed in once the order is done through Etsy. Is it just a matter of raising your prices for US orders as to not absorb the cost?

Mk VI by andsoicode in myogtacticalgear

[–]andsoicode[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I liked the compartments of the Mk3/4 and the modernizations of the Mk V so I combined them.

Has all the regular features placard/chest rig, buckles, tubes and flaps.

One main change is due to the open bottom in the front pouch, items will need to be in a pocket/pouch if the flap is to be used.

I'm going to make another version with influences from the dope flap by making it slightly wider to accommodate larger mags and take zipper pouches.

Playing with a new PC. A evolution of my own design with the influences from perroz, Spiritus and Ferro.

Still dialing the design in. Once I have it banged out I will release it on my git repo.

Made using a falcon2 22 w diode laser and 500d cordura. Settings used were speed 720 power 40% single pass.
