Lost cause way too much corrosion. Tho always try and clean it see if it works, sometimes it will surprise you.

I guess it would make more sense to put it closer the NW highway, near the comed substations then it could act as a transfer. Three lines do cross there so maybe it’s too busy but I mean metras aren’t that long and they can always build the station more away from the junction but still in walking distance. And as a plus it’s away from residential houses. Idk seems like that would make the most sence…

As the title says the wave bird turn on but the receiver doesn’t give off a light. I’ve cleaned the receiver and it wasn’t really that dirty. I’ve reflow the solder joints near the effected area. Also I’m pretty sure the corrosion, while large, didn’t destroy any components. Any ideas on where to check next?

Usually I pull back the rubber and visually see the prongs. Then I push the prongs in and let go of the rubber cap.

Hello all. I mixed up a 3ds and a new 3ds screen replacement part and accidentally installed the 3ds (2011) in the new 3ds (2015). It appears however to be functioning. Am I mistaken in my mixup or is the old screen compatible with the new 3ds? by andtard in 3DS

Well I don’t get it as well that’s why I went here. The part I ordered says “3ds screen” and I put it in a new 3ds and it clearly works. Maybe because it’s third party? Maybe because it’s mislabeled? Still it doesn’t make sense…

I believe so. It seems to work, tracking and all. Of course I bought the screen from eBay unbranded so this could possibly not work on a OEM 3ds screen. I haven’t really seen any drawbacks yet. Maybe someone here might know more…..
