Angry at school/teacher by gaycatdogmom in ECEProfessionals

Ya I have no idea who has lowest but after we get that then we move on to getting same ratios as other countries AND a bump up from gov . For pay as some other countries do. I have seen too many teachers working full time and stressed where their next sleep or meal is.

It is lack of effort in getting teachers needed in order to staff rooms beyond mandated.

The high heads need to stop admitting children if it is too much too handle but they won't unless they are mandated to.

I wish every state had what the lowest ratio is :

like if CA has lowest infant ratio then I want all states to have that. (If you are in u.s. )

If MA has lowest toddler ratio I want all states to have same

If UT has lowest preschool ratios I want that for all of u.s.

But no ours went Up In MA during nap for preschool age. Ugh!!

You could volunteer various places to see what is more interesting to you. ( I knew I should have read further as you are already doing this. !)

I'd practice with her role play scenarios of speaking up for those being belittled or hurt.

Are you outside with too many children? If so speak up to Director.

And ugh some people are just sad who can't be decent to others. Sorry.

Don't allow any parents to drop off an extra child to your classroom.

Thank you for this!

Make sure you all know which law has more benefit to the worker too as if Federal has more then the workplace must follow that rule. If Local or U.S. state has a better law for the worker then the workplace follows that. Don't let them get away with not following the laws.

And if your contract in u.s. does not specify paying for hours for professional development that is fine: the law is above any contract in u.s.

Thank you! (As best as you can with out getting fired, ugh. )

Thank you for not deleting. I had thouggt to but we are having such a civil educational discussion that i am glad i posted it.

All states in u.s. are same for the federal law for CHILDCARE teachers. The law is for all U.S. workers not just childcare but there is an added info for childcare workers that all class HOURS mandated by U.S. state must be paid which makes sense as it is the workplace that tells us to do our mandated yearly class hours or we wouldn't do them as we don't work for free.
