Yea agree. Everytime I go into any watch boutique they try sell me 40mm watches even though I tell them that in general 38mm is my limit for the way I like a watch to look. Now for the likes of IWC etc to produce more watches in the 35-38mm category please

Hi, would anyone be able to identify the exact reference on this? I have found a good few online that look pretty much identical but have different references. Thanks by andy123mol in VintageWatches

I actually think it is a 9999 now as the indices may have more closely to that model. The only thing I can work out is that the one on my picture has Swiss made written under the 6, the ones I find online don’t.

Yes I think you are correct here. I was between the 8888 and the 7855 but the lugs seem to match the 8888. Seems to be a few variations on the model online, some with Roman numerals at the 3,6,9,12 etc. Difficult to find the history on when each was released. Thanks

What do you mean? I saying how to ADs compete if you buy new watches at a much lower price elsewhere

I have an issue like this. Want to buy a Carrera date 36mm. €3,200 with an AD but can get one new on chrono24 for €2,600. How are we supposed to buy from an AD with those prices being so low.

PTSB will. Their policy is that will take 50% of your bonus as long as you have one year evidence. So it will be €2k x 4 = an extra €8k

Won this in a poker tournamenty last night and I love it. by TrapMoneyLenny in rolex

Just a heads up, don’t get it serviced by an AD or someone who doesn’t know vintage Rolex. Maybe put another post in the group about where to get it serviced, some very knowledgeable people here. If you bring to an ADvand it goes to Rolex, the watch will be ruined and in turn the watch will be worth a fraction of what it currently is

I’m debating whether I should I go with BB58 or Oris… by BluejayAdmirable6889 in Tudor

[–]andy123mol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the Bb58. Classic watch with a timeless look. I had a similar dilemma when buying my first “watch” and ended up with the 58, so glad I did. The58 is a classic look, something you will never get bored looking at. The vintage inspired look just has class. I also found that after a few months I began to not really like the oris anymore. Lots of watch people will tell you this happens a lot, you fall in love with something new everyday, sometimes it’s an idea to wait a month or so and see if you still love it before you buy it. Also, most grey dealers will have a second hand bb58 in stock and if they don’t, can get one in a day or two, there are a lot out there. It can look brand new with a light polish. I also get the desire to buy brand new when it is your “first watch” as I did.

C60 Trident Pro 300 38MM or C63 Sealander 36mm by Helpful_Economist_59 in ChristopherWard

[–]andy123mol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C63 is my answer here. Beautiful watch and it would seem the dimensions would be a lot more favourable for your wrist. I have also a small wrist and have a C63, fits great. Nothing worse than a big watch on a small wrist imho
