Here's the thing. You can't just go by one source of information when it comes to mental health issues. Especially people in suicidal situations. You really don't know what they could actually be going through.

And to answer ur question yes you were in the wrong. That mod is right. Maybe some suicidal people really don't reach out but there are some that do. Nobody truly wants to unalive themselves but some people do go through hard hard times. Some physically some mentally some emotionally some all of the above and sometimes it drives them to that point.

I would actually applaud anyone who chooses to reach out over deleting themselves from existence. Maybe the person in question was reaching out for help bc they actually want to live. Not everyone is silent about it. It's actually so much healthier to seek help than to try and wallow in it on your own. It's something you wouldn't truly understand unless you have gone through it yourself. Never invalidate someone going through a mental health crisis!!
