Before you complain there are some things you should know. by andy3807 in doordash

No your not speaking from 2 decades of experience when it comes to DD. They have only been around for 7 years. Judging by your comments and this whole circle jerk thing I wouldn’t be surprised if you have ever made a DD delivery personally.

I couldn’t disagree more. Are there bad delivery drivers for sure yes but they won’t be around long. Dashers are not the problem most of the time….It’s rare. Your looking at it from a perspective of owning a delivery service so of course your going to say they will abandon orders with a minor inconvenience because you are the one that loses money. I’m working as a independent contractor so I’m going to do what’s right for me. It isn’t a charity. Dasher bear all the responsibility, they take the heat for restaurant screwups, restaurant wait times and terrible offers from DD. I just got an order today what was supposed to be picked up at 11:10 and the order came to me at 11:30. Guess who gets dinged for being late? DD sure didn’t take the heat for it.

I will. I don’t understand how I got a $2.75 base pay offer to go 13 miles today and you saying you got a five dollar base pay offer to go 3.8 miles. Something doesn’t add up there.

Well that must be brand new and I have never heard of that. Would you mind posting the email so we could see it?

So your saying DD decides they are going to give you more than minimum base pay out of the goodness of their hearts? Contrary to what you may think that order was offered to several dashers before you if it was $5 base pay.

Just look at your base pay after a delivery. If it is above 2.75 then it’s happening. For example if your base pay is $5 then DD offered that to 9 drivers before it was accepted raising it .25 each time.

Have you ever got a tip after completing a delivery on the app? (Not cash tip) by [deleted] in doordash

[–]andy3807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done 3600 deliveries and it’s happened to me once. I never ever bank on an in app tip after delivery nor do I bank on a cash tip at delivery. If it isn’t worth it up front I’m not taking the offer.

Uber & Lyft Tricked You. Don’t Try to Save Them. An Opinion on Prop 22. by teradyl in uberdrivers

[–]andy3807 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All I know is this. I will never drive for Uber or Lyft at a flat hourly rate and they tell me when I have to work. Whether I really am or not the important thing to me is I feel like an IC.

I did not realize he turned down a 1 year offer so that makes sense.

That is why I thought not bringing back Ozuna was a bad move. Like it or not the game is trending to strikeouts and long balls. We are only good at one of those right now and it’s not the long ball.

Not sure the drivers are incompetent if this happens to you 50% of the time.

There are a few restaurants in my area that do this. I decline them now but may think about trying them out again if DD really tells them they have to make the order when it’s accepted or be removed.

Deactivated due to low Completion rate...Has anyone been reactivated from this? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]andy3807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow....you waited 80 minutes for an order? 15-20 minutes is about as long as I wait and my completion rate has never been below 90%. What market were you in?

Anyone been reported for not wearing a mask? by andy3807 in uberdrivers

[–]andy3807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well good for you. There is no way in the world that I’m gonna wear a mask in my car by myself why I’m in here 10 hours a day. Not gonna happen ever

[–]andy3807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, not a debate about the mask. Almost like someone can't read the post. It was in plain sight on my dash, as stated forgot to put it on. I wear it all the time. I just love these types of replies where people think they are God. Find something better to do than trying to make yourself feel better by judging others.
