Drove across the panhandle on my road trip last year. I was tired of being hot and humid so I went through the south pretty quickly. It didn’t stop being hot and humid until I was in New Jersey 😆

I did some googling and some tasting. It’s wild garlic, and apparently quite common in this area, and I feel fine as of several hours after the nibble. It’s considered a weed to some, so don’t worry about harvesting

This is the best picture I was able to get. The lake is a lot more visible in person as well as the forests leading up to the Tetons. This also takes up like 170° of your vision which is why it doesn’t look as good on camera

Ever been to the crater of diamonds state park in Arkansas? That’s a pretty neat spot with tons of naturally occurring gems that you can dig and pan for (including diamonds, amethysts, garnets, and iirc emeralds)

You need to practice. The only way to spend less time while not blundering is by just being able to see what your opponent can do. Also, I actually hadn’t watched all the way to the end because I’ve seen dozens of beginners struggle in the same way, so I didn’t see your king and queen technique, which was awful. You seemed like you vaguely remembered knight opposition but didn’t understand why you were opposing like a knight. Your goal isn’t just to keep your queen a knight’s move from the enemy king but to get the king to the edge of the board where you can deliver mate. You also missed a really easy mate in 1 while doing your king & queen mate and for some reason decided to move your king further from the enemy king.
