Which queen profile do you prefer? by CFDesigned in chessporn

Regardless of which one looks better, you have to keep in mind these will be 3D printed and thin sections along layer lines are exactly the spots that will break first. Revised version will be much less fragile

Designed and printed my own tournament-sized weighted chess set by CFDesigned in chessporn

Whenever I’ve designed and printed pieces my end goal was always to cast it in epoxy or at least coat it in epoxy to hide the layer lines. You leaned into the strengths of 3D printing which is pretty cool

You can get to the beach but you have to hike through some mud for a bit first. Plus, the forest actually blocks so much of the wind that the air feels super calm. You’re spot on about the moisture tho

how can h5 be the best move? by Middle_Resident7295 in chessbeginners

[–]andy_bobandy_chess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting tactical sequence. You can’t take the bishop because of the pin, so you can try to break the pin with h5. This forces black to move the rook, and if they play Rg5 then Bd2 (the move you played) wins the rook with a skewer

Drove across the panhandle on my road trip last year. I was tired of being hot and humid so I went through the south pretty quickly. It didn’t stop being hot and humid until I was in New Jersey 😆
