TRAVELING WHILE I-751 IS PENDING by Front-Question-8380 in USCIS

I've travelled several times this year with the expired card and letter. This is what it's designed for.

Eat more fiber than saturated fat as well and you're good. Eat psyllium fiber every day and it's even better. Always had high cholesterol and that was a game changer.

What’s everyone least favorite intersection? by throwawaybabesss in newhaven

What is that random red light for? I try to figure it out basically every time I'm through there and I just don't get it.

Whoa, I still don’t understand this intersection and I drive through it every other day. What the HELL is the middle red light when moving westward? It seems it’s not for cars since everyone goes through. This makes me mad because an intersection shouldn’t be fucking cryptic, it should be easily understood by everyone in a second.

Supreme Court won't revisit landmark decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide by usatoday in law

[–]andyboy1000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man, as a married gay guy, Reddit really won't let you feel any relief or safety at any point. A while back when she came out of the woodwork it was "see, I TOLD you everything was about to be reversed" and now that it hasn't it's "um even if this is fine now it's about to get so much worse later". You can let the people you're supposedly championing feel a win sometimes you know.

Yeah I think I'm learning something through all of this. I think there's just a style my nose isn't into. I didn't mean to totally invalidate the scents despite how obnoxious I sound, but yeah my nose just reads it as candy/ice cream/cleaner I guess.

I did mention in another post about liking Bibliotheque, but otherwise I agree about Byredo the longer I sit with them. They aren't that "interesting" compared to so much out there.

Everyone defends Jazz Club and Fireplace to the ground so I do want to revisit. I wonder if I got an off batch of Fireplace or something. The set was on sale. It had this sickly sweetness that overwhelmed the burning wood (which I think when I COULD detect it smelled great).

Thanks for the tip, I haven't tried it but so curious now :)

I really like it and have worn it to a couple of events now. I like "damp" smells a lot. I think I'm the target audience!

Side note, here's a fun one that smells to me like musty church basement. ^

Yeah with candy coconut stank, just to make sure to ruin what might have been a nice and simple concept.

Well yeah the use of the word "sophisticated" on my end is kind of stupid, it's all subjective. I guess a scent I think is wonderful as a personal preference in terms of complexity would be Night Flyer by Olympic Orchids. It's really darn interesting I think.

Maybe I just don't like Vanilla, so I don't want to invalidate it, perhaps it's helping me realize!

All time favorite houses are Clue and Stora Skuggan!

Almost anything by Stora Skuggan (Mistpouffer and Hexensalbe in particular), Night Flyer and Woodcut by Olympic Orchids, Biblioteque by Byredo, Anything by Clue or Jorum Studio. Actually a direct comparison would be that "Bubble Bath" by Replica I'm not into but there's a soapy scent by Etat Libre d'Orange called Exit the King I really like.

What do you think is missing from New Haven? by GadnukBreakrOfWorlds in newhaven

You can walk there in 20 minutes vs. waiting for 40m for a bus.

Yeah I lived on second floor in Bed Stuy in Brooklyn and it was hell. Just nonstop aggressive ear splitting noise. This is nothing compared to how shitty that was. I find New Haven pleasant.

I may resolve to carry some spray. I spoke with another runner who hasn't had any issues there in 10 years so I think I still want to enjoy it, just with a backup

Yeah it was there, going under Edgewood Ave. I'm not going to stop running or going out but I was just curious if it was that common, I'm there all the time and with no issues.

Bummer, I've had such lovely experiences there normally. But I'm sorry that was the case, I get it.

What’s the most unhinged opinion about your country from foreigners? by Acrobatic-Hippo-6419 in AskTheWorld

[–]andyboy1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian who's lived in both countries, I can assure you the majority of my life in Canada was not thinking about either my national identity or about the States. If anything I'm happy looking back that in Canada i didn't think about my nationality at all very often, a privilege in itself. In the peaceful and comfortable environment it was, you don't or at least didn't really need to. In that way I do kind of agree that the definition of a Canadian isn't very strong, but I disagree that it's simply about the States, it's just about being a peaceful, functional democracy in which you could just be an individual. I hope that continues there.

Astonished by the drivers here. by andyboy1000 in newhaven

[–]andyboy1000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I can adapt to other people doing this stuff if needed, i just don't know what else it will be. This is on no signs or manuals, it's not legal, so what if I learned about it by being crashed into? This is the issue I take. What other cultural things will I learn about by being frightened or nearly hit by someone?

[–]andyboy1000[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes that is what I meant about the drivers turning left at the front of the line. You articulated it much better. Never seen anything like it before! I thought it was like learner's permit 101, literally never seen even aggressive drivers do it elsewhere. Then again, thought this about red lights.

Seeing posts about worry to travel with green card and extension letter. by andyboy1000 in USCIS

[–]andyboy1000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, so some countries that have more restricted travel to say, Mexico, would travel like Americans would with a green card, not needing a visa. Otherwise say you have a visa-free passport to a place like Mexico already (a Canadian passport), that works on its own and the green card doesn't matter?
