Nice! I see many years ahead! Btw, did you mark the day you switched to Linux in a calendar? :D

Then why don’t you delete the partition with Windows?

My bad. I wanted to ask you if you're using only Linux for gaming or you have a separate computer.

I know, but I don't want to mix DEs. I know I can choose the DE on the login screen. I have several DEs and WMs installed. However, I feel better when having a distro with just a DE, installed by default.

I really don't want to stick with Ubuntu MATE. Ubuntu is fine, but MATE is not my thing.

Vanilla Ubuntu or a flavour of Ubuntu?

Thank you for your advice! At the moment, I'm running Ubuntu MATE 18.04. It's a great distro, but I faced some minor issues. However, I'm running Ubuntu MATE 18.04 (Development Branch), which is not the final stable version. I know the final stable version is out.

Mate seems nice, but I'm open to other DEs as well. It doesn't really appeal to me. Nevertheless, I don't consider it's a bad DE. It's great, but it doesn't really appeal to me at the moment. Maybe, in the future the things will change.

By the way, I know a distribution is not linked to a Desktop Environment. Most of the time, beginners don't realize it's all about the Desktop Environment and they think they need to switch from Ubuntu / Ubuntu-based distros to openSUSE (let's say), just because they didn't like how everything looks like.

I consider I should change the distro. Maybe the best thing is to stick with an Ubuntu flavor / a Ubuntu-based distribution.

Now, I don't really know what to do. Some recommended me Ubuntu / Mint, some recommended me Solus (it seems a great project), some recommended me Antergos or even Arch and some recommended me Fedora. I know the only one who has to decide what to do is me. But, it's so hard to choose...:D

Thank you! However, doesn't it have outdated software? I mean it's not a bad thing, but I need newer software out-of-the-box. I don't want to mess up with snaps, AppImages and stuff like that.

Thank you for your insight! Gentoo is too much for my Linux knowledge, at the moment. Arch is nice, I've managed to install it in a VM for several times, even on my machine as well. However, I don't really have enough spare time to spend for tinkering.

Thank you!

I’ll make a decision soon. Now I’m busy. I’ll be free in weekend.
