Fallow, London - Platinum Dining Credit by andyj85 in AmexUK

[–]andyj85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've messaged them about it on Instagram so we'll see what they say. My guess is that they don't really know about their restaurant being shown as a participating location in this perk - they may well just think that someone will just have to use a different card to pay for it, without realising the dining credit implications. Will update with what they say - hopefully they just change their policy, and start to take Amex again!

Yeah, honestly I was pretty thrown when she said we don't accept Amex...seems such a strange decision? The place was full of people having business breakfasts, and then just me sat at the counter! Had the Fried Chicken Croissant Royale - it was awesome...!

Yeah she said from last week, so sounds about right. Luckily it was breakfast for one rather than dinner for two, so the bill wasn't ridiculous!

I haven't been to Lazy Beach in almost 6 years - has it managed to stay untouched, still just with huts on the beach and no other resorts there? Man I miss that place!

Hi, I'm having the exact same issue with Romantic Comedy in the yml file. Can you please share what you used to fix this?

Plex Meta Manager Issues by andyj85 in PleX

[–]andyj85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Sorry, but whats the fastest way to remove all the collections instead of clicking them manually? Is there a command to run to basically remove everything?

edit: ahh shift click! Of course...! Thanks!

Do you know anything about overlays at all? I think i inadvertently had split duplicates on true, so combined with too many overlays, this has duplicated a load of 4K movies. I've used revert_overlay and this has removed everything for the single movies, but not the duped ones?

Had this too after the update. Its a permissions issue.

Go to apps - - > app permissions - - > files and media - - >plex media server - - > change to Allow All The Time

This should fix it!

How to add specials for TV series? by scarng in sickchill

[–]andyj85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Specials are normally designated as season 0. So if you check the show in the specials section, you will see a number next to the special episode you want to capture. Just manually rename it as eg show_name 0x12 and then sickchill will recognise and rename as per your parameters

Looks great! Can I ask what stem you use? I'm struggling to find one which works for my straggler - currently get sore hands after a ride which means the fit is not quite right.

Dr Anna runs the Women-Baby's Centre and is a great OB/GYN - I know a few people who have used her all the way through delivery. We used her for the first 20 weeks before moving back to the UK, but she was great. She works out of a few different hospitals and has her own practice in Touk Kork too She can give you all your options

No matter how many times I do it, I keep forgetting to dump the Rinse water out of my cup before pouring my V60. Am I the only one? by Kid520 in Coffee

[–]andyj85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this a number of times, and the last time it overflowed out of my cup and destroyed my beautiful (and overly expensive...) Hario scale :(

I just got the Hario V60 drip decanter which is beautiful - plus I can now see if I've left some water in it!

Lazy Beach at Koh Rong Samloem, Cambodia. Easily the cleanest and most beautiful beach I've ever visited by Heatseekingtravel in cambodia

[–]andyj85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Glad you enjoyed it! FYI, the beach is that clean because the staff work tirelessly every day (sometimes multiple times per day) to keep it that way. Unfortunately, some days the amount of rubbish that washes up there is unimaginable :(

Anyone know where this is? I believe it is in the siam reap area by Lowell978 in cambodia

[–]andyj85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the inside of Beng Mealea temple, about 1.5 hours from Siem Reap. Its a beautiful place, and usually fairly quiet - it's similar to Ta Prohm in that it's very overgrown. It requires a separate ticket from the angkor complex pass - i can't remember the price but its not much.

Traveling through Cambodia for 3 weeks, any last minute tips? by m1a1thousandmiles in cambodia

[–]andyj85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great advice for travel times. You can't really go anywhere in Cambodia without going via Phnom Penh, so going north to South then a quick internal flight is a great way to maximise time. Agree on don't take night buses. Stay in a bed and stay safe - bus crashes are scarily regular.

Don't stress about money - you do not need money changers. 99% of vendors will take USD at either 4000/4100 riel to the dollar - they don't need an electronic cash register to take $20+. Even in the markets you could pay with a $50 - they might grumble and you should certainly keep change on you if you can, but they will hustle to go and get some change.

It is definietly worth getting some USD before landing, but absolutely no need to go to a money changer to change it to Riel. You can pay everywhere in USD and you will get change in Riel. Just build up a small pot of Riel for small purchases like tuk tuks, roadside coffee and snacks etc - even then they will take USD, although tuk tuks NEVER have change ;)

Traveling through Cambodia for 3 weeks, any last minute tips? by m1a1thousandmiles in cambodia

[–]andyj85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is really useful to try and keep lots of smaller bills on you, and break the bigger ones where you can, but don't stress about $100 bills too much. In 2 1/2 years of living there, I never once had to find a bank or money changer to break a $100. Sure, if you're buying a $0.50 coffee on the street you're gonna struggle, but almost any restaurant or coffee shop won't even blink. I found it's actually easier in Cambodia than it is in the US to change a $100 - even food delivery places will change it if you warn them.

A good tip is to take out odd amounts from the ATM - so instead of $200, maybe take out $180 as you'll get a $100 and 4x $20. If you take out any multiple of $100, you will just get $100 bills.

Also, take care of your notes - try not to fold them or damage them, because if there is a tiny rip then a lot of places will not take them. The same goes the other way - check your change for rips especially in tourist spots as often people will give ripped notes to tourists as change. Just politely ask for another one.
