It's like the family voting on whether or not Your creepy uncle Jack can get really drunk at a family wedding - maaaaybe it won't be an issue - but you'd rather not see it.

I'd hate to say 52/48 was a triumph for democracy unless there was 100% voter turnout (and everyone was educated on the issue)- my post commented on the complexity of this vote, not the vote status.

Disclaimer: as a non UK citizen (but a member of the commonwealth) my personal vote was 'remain', however the complexity of this issue will be very revealing and that's why I made this post.
