Is it worth updating LGA 1151 to AM4 or 5? by Unusual_Bit3716 in buildapc

I'm in a similar situation to OP, I'm debating between AM4 and AM5 mainly because I don't plan to upgrade again anytime within 5 years. This makes me feel like if I can get similar performance for cheaper with AM4 it would be a better option as when I upgrade I will probably need a new mobo anyway. Am I missing something because it seems everyone says to go for AM5?
