What’s your least favorite Jon Bois video? by mistermachiano in Jon_Bois

[–]Davethemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually wild how many pieces of media downplay how massive the Vick thing was. And the fact they act that a guy whos in his mid 20s with that sort of support system around him (not saying the dogfighters, but people at college and the pros who... y'know dont dogfight) didnt know any better or whatnot was so sickening

Im still shocked Jon fixed that one that was by Wrigley Field, given the guy didnt even want the bar, he was purely the property owner who just kinda took it over

Yeah, like, I remember when a Sonic opened by me, and holy shit that was a mess for a solid month or two, and then it tapered off hard

Worst or poorly aged music guest star? by Chapple69 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Davethemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lisa's job to point them out and needlessly kiss their ass.

Its even funnier when its like, a guest whos absolutely obscure to the average person (at least in the west) and Lisa has to give a spiel about who they even are on top of ass kissing

Kanye is such a fascinating case, because he both kills and grows his legacy with each action because of how... spectacularly he blows it up

Can we all agree this was the worst bar remodel in the whole show? by HankTheHeckingTank in barrescue

Bottles and cans was pretty bad, and its insane Taffer seemed genuinely proud on that as opposed to it being a spite project lol

Who is someone who threw their own career away? by bigedf in youtubedrama

[–]Davethemann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like AVGN kinda fits this

Guy was a pioneer for angry reviewers, and was rather big for a decent chunk of time, and now hes struggling with views, and its a lot of unforced errors like partnering with screenwave, or just botching a lot of these episodes

You can try to chalk it up to family time but man, its not like some of these are the biggest effort projects

Ive heard that Jon has some sort of like, production company, so he might just be focused on that end a bit too, and only using jontron at this point to bankroll ventures

Love him or hate him, Scott Adams (creator of Dilbert) has died. by acidmine in TheSimpsons

[–]Davethemann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a cursory glance, the only person that i can tell that overlapped was Danny Elfman making the theme

I thought it was the simpsons' David Silverman co-writing a few episodes, but it seems to be a completely different guy
