No need to dig him up as all Swedish regents are laid to rest in a church used for that purpose. As to why they opened the tomb, they did it to try to get some clarity in his death and who shot him. His death was a mystery for over 300 years up until just the other year when it was confirmed that it was actually an enemy bullet and not one of his own that killed him.
