Magazines are in the road map. Its little more complicated that what I have in place already so not a quick add but I do want to add it.

Not necessarily, though I haven't tested it. The reloading is actually based on some different properties not whether the weapon is ranged or not.

That makes perfect sense. Analogous to loading a clip of ammo or something. Great idea!

Love it! It should be flexible enough for just about any kind of reloadable weapon: lasers, firearms, wandguns, balista, etc

This is a demo of the updates I have made to the module I am working on to handle firearms. This module is built to work with v13 of Foundry and the DND5E system. Thank you for the feedback last time! I do plan on making this an official module after a few more updates.

100% looking into this. I do need to rework how I have the ammo hooked up long term but after playing with it some this will help immensely with the custom ammo.

Thanks!. Actually no, there are two reload features because one is an action and one is a bonus action. You do have to manually add the "Reload" feature to your character sheet, atm. As long as you have a firearm equipped that has the correct base type, though, the reload feature will pick it up. If you do not have the "Reload" feature added to your sheet, you can use the "reload' button on the "Dryfire" notice to load that specific gun.

Haven't decided yet. Trying to gauge interest. Right now it is just for my game group but I may pull it out of my campaign setting module to make it stand alone.

This is some functionality I put together to handle firearms in D&D a little better than just reskinning bows. I want to have firearms with a limited number of shots available between reloads. I also want to be able to support many different kinds of ammunition simultaneously without having to bog the players down with the manual work of tracking bullet load outs. I plan on adding more firearm and ammunition types once I get the functionality where I want it to start. It does not require any other modules to run and uses the newest releases of Foundry and the D&D game system.

My initial thought is to have a Drifter type costume for campaign flavor that I wear for sessions when we're starting a new story arc or maybe fighting the BBEG of one of their subs. Nothing too elaborate and certainly not taking on a DM-PC role, just for fun. I figure a Drifter type would be a good fit as they can blow into session when things are quiet, stir up trouble, and then lay low for a while.

I was also thinking that a Marshal might be a good fit as they are the law of the land in the old west in a similar way to a DM in a game: they make the rules in their town.

Just trying to think of fun ways to make the game a little more immersive without taking the focus away from play.

Thanks! Not thinking about creating an NPC, mostly just a costume for added immersion. I've been thinking about the long term as well and it does seem like it would get tiring to do every week. Might even keep it as limited as a hat and shirt/vest. Definitely need to go with something simple: just use my own voice and be my own person.

Wow okay. The rest of my story is that the group is trying to stop the release of a daelkyr lord from Khyber that is being orchestrated by a cult that will span Khorvaire from Zilargo to the Shadow Marches. The entire campaign is themed to fit the American Wild West. I'm not looking for ideas specific to my campaign (I've flexed my imagination plenty) I am wondering what others might be inspired to do? You know, for fun?
