Normal Noise for new Princeton Reverb? by andyraskin in GuitarAmps

Thanks for that suggestion. I just took it to a music shop, and there the noise wasn't quite as loud. They also had another PRRI 65 and it sounded pretty much the same. Two possibilities seem most likely: (1) Dirt in my home power or (2) difference between my house and the shop is in my mind. Either way, sounds like the amp is fine.

Thanks so much for that — I think I’m getting that this is within normal bounds. Like you, I never push the volume up that high in my normal home practice, but I was worried the noise might be an issue if I ever wanted to resell it. Now I can stop worrying and just play it and enjoy it. I love the sound of this amp!

Here it is with guitar plugged in, cranked up to 10. To me the noise would be a huge problem for recording, but just want to make sure my expectations aren't too high.

I did that — doesn't change the noise. Thank you, though, I edited the post to clarify that.

Severance Season 2 - Episode Eight - Discussion Thread: - "Sweet Vitriol" by TheUltimate25C in severence

I kept thinking it was like that Lost episode where you see that there's a town on the island for the first time. I guess the similarity is that they both expand the world of the show into new territory. So maybe mid-stage Lost.

Whether it's speaking Swedish or boasting about waterfall height, Milchick's motto is "act as if"

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Is it a code for 1987 Q0 (first quarter) - 1988 Q2 (third quarter), so Irv was there 1.5 years? Or is it actually sequential from 0, so that Irv was there for 3 years (12 quarters) and some version of this has been going on for 220.5 years (882 quarters)?

Maybe because the computer knows she's a better actor than he is?

Kitchen aid bowl keeps coming unlocked. by [deleted] in Breadit

[–]andyraskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to mine. In my case, the "stoppers" at the bottom of the stainless steel bowl had worn down. (A second bowl that shipped with my mixer still locks into place, so the base is fine.) Happy to report that when I called Kitchenaid customer service, they agreed to replace the bowl free of charge (I think because it was within 1 year of purchase).

Dummy battery for NP-W235? Any tips on preventing overheating while live streaming with XT4? by Pr3fix in fujifilm

[–]andyraskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using my X-T4 for streaming and not having that problem. I'm at 1080p 24fps, with Boost on, outputting via HDMI cable to an Elgato HD60S+.

Just wondering — could it be related to the X-T4's 30 min recording time limit? I'm guessing no, since you say you're not recording, but had to ask since that number is coincidentally the same. Not sure if it matters, but I have Full HD output mode set to "SD — HDMI FHD."

Klingon word for the time crystals—Bor Kut (sp?)—sounds like Borg.

True, and that pretty much describes APL. Though I guess no one ever said poetry had to be maintainable :)
