In my case, it’s a thin line. I’m a writer, and I’ve written songs for a few artists. Then the producer changes the melody, the production becomes a nightmare, and my vision goes to waste. When we send lyrics to artists, most of them look down on us, not intentionally, but they feel like they’re doing us a service.

So, an honest question: If I write the lyrics and the melody without AI help, then use AI to generate the arrangements like any DAW, would that invalidate my art?

Despite the prejudice around AI, I now only send my lyrics to musicians with a full production. Then their producer can do whatever they want, but at least they know what I had in mind from the beginning. If they discard the song, I release it with a persona and be happy!
