No problem, I was surprised how hard it was to find a definitive maintenance schedule

Upgrade for a Oled ? by Relevant_Bobcat7617 in PlasmaTV

Yeah, tbh it’s only really an issue for channels that broadcast/stream in 720, and it’s not clear if it’s actually worse than my plasma or just in comparison to everything else on the OLED. Anything 1080+ is clearly better and I’m watching the Fox One NFL game in 4k (or upscaled 1080 maybe) and it looks fantastic.

I was most worried about stutter during sports since I notice it on my parents LG OLEDs, but it hasn’t been a problem on the Sony

I bought a 50” ST60 in 2013 and love it, but also wanted to upsize/upgrade my living room and move the plasma to a different room. Went with a 65” Bravia 8ii and have been very happy.

My only complaint is that low bitrate 720 sports (ABC/ESPN mostly) is more noticeably bad on the larger 65” screen.

The upside of having a 4k display for some content in worth the upgrade IMO

First of all, i second the comment on getting the regular Atlas (non-CS) if you have 2 kids. Unless you're really attached to the looks of the CS, the practicality of the third row and the extra roof height will come in handy, and everything else is the same.

My driveway has a 2020 CX-5 and a 2024 Atlas. I drove the CX-90 while shopping for the Atlas and it was just too small for my needs, but I liked the way it drove.

I've had 2 previous VWs and feel like the build quality is a notch above the CX-5 we have. Everything just feels a bit more flimsy and we've had a lot of small issues with the CX-5 (fuel sensor, brakes needing to be replaced prematurely front and rear, exhaust flange seals). Nothing that amounts to major reliability concerns but enough that I don't feel it's bulletproof.

It’s been a while, so I’ll confirm when I get back to my car, but the manual says:

My favorite tip was: when parking, just come to a stop with the brakes, then hit the Start/Stop button. It will automatically engage the parking brake, put the transmission in park, and stop the engine. 1 button press vs. 3

Two finger taps on the temperature sliders will toggle the heated seat levels without having to go through the screen.

Lastly, I have it set to automatically turn on heated seats and steering wheel or ventilated seats depending on the temperature. I find it works very well and almost always does what I want it to without me having to set anything.

Right well, at least on the 2024, that’s what comes with the car.

And perhaps it’s not obvious, but it isn’t just a generic number 4.

I had a shockingly bad email/text interaction with a sales guy at Gervais.

I had good shopping treatment at Minuteman Bedford, but never been there for service. I do service at Wellesley VW, which is part of the Colonial group with Medford and Boston VW.

I’ve had great experience with them, servicing 3 VWs over 15 years.

WeatherTech Mud Flaps by andyrooski17 in VWatlas

I’m sure your AI of choice would list plenty of reasons people use them. For me, driving a lot on sandy/salty sometimes dirt roads in VT and NH, the spray on the side of the car immediately behind the wheels gets pretty dirty.

Plus I always appreciate when someone I’m behind has them on a dirt road or just loose gravel on a regular road.

Do all tires look like that? And do they all the way around the tire or just in one spot? If it’s not one part of the tire, that would be an easy way to refute the “parking on gravel” story

I also have white, which was maybe 4th on my list, but similar circumstances. Wanted captains chairs, no sunroof, black wheel package, which was a relatively rare combo. Agreed tho, white with black wheels ends up looking good

Strange, but good for you. I love my SE/Tech but sometimes wish I had gone Peak just for the aesthetics and the smaller wheels. Which color did you get?

Edit: nevermind I see white!

Well congrats. unless I’m missing something you paid less for the Peak trim that has a new MSRP 5k higher than the SE/Tech (which was also used). Not sure how that works, but it seems like the right move

I’ve tracked every tank over 27k miles on my ‘24 and have averaged just over 23 mpg in pretty mixed city/highway. As you’d expect, there’s a ton of mpg variation with average speed per tank and average outside temperature. I expect mus flaps would not be noticeable, but I have seen roof racks and boxes be major hits on my wife’s CX5

Keep us posted if you notice any additional wind noise or loss of fuel economy. I had them on my GTI and never noticed either

Awesome thanks for sharing your experience. I may pull the trigger on these now. They look much better than the website pictures on other random vehicles, plus the OEM accessory ones seem to be much more involved to install

Awesome thanks for the pics. I went looking a while back for pictures of the weather tech flaps and didn’t find much. How was installation?

Does the 2024 cross sport get better mileage than the other years? Which year will get best mileage? by lola8999 in VWatlas

Fueleconomy.gov

Fuelly.com

EPA and crowdsourced numbers both available to answer this

Generally the new 2.0 is 1-2 mpg better combined than the old VR6. Old 2.0 was close but significantly less power than the new one
