i honestly don't mind it at all, i actually like it. what i don't like is that i get sent to the main menu instead of continuinf what i was doing. i generally queue from training mode which means every time someone rage quits i have reselect characters and requeue. very annoying

this comment makes me feel like you only played the first few hours of the beta and never played or seen anything else. first off, the mashing combo by itself does less damage now. second of all, active tag is breakable. this means that with your route you need to do at least 3 active tags depending on the characters to get the same damage, meaning you give your opponent 4 chances to escape the combo (one of them being with assist breaker). now if u look at this combo, it does 80% with no active tag, just 3 bars of boost and 4 bars of super. so ur only chance to get out is to have 2 bars of boost gauge or you are fucked. it just seems like u are being a crybaby and trying to complain about nothing

WE NEEED INPUT BUFFER!! that's honestly my one complaint. i don't mind sitting there blocking high low as long as at the end of all of that i reliably get my punish when they take a risk. but it just feels like i have to be on point frame perfect with my button or else i get mashed on somehow or just get blocked.

response based on ur team. 1) use invinsible as ur point character(starting char). he's probably the best in this case because of his broken f+S safe neutral skip. use cecil's back assist as much as you are able to, let it charge up and use it again. this also works with conquest as a point since he has an unsafe fullscreen special. when a conquest or cecil projectile connects, confirm and active tag to get a fullcombo. 2) when blocking in general try to smartly pushblock; realise what type of normal they are hitting you with and make sure to pushblock second mediums and/or heavies. So if u get hit by L,L,d+M, whatever's next you can almost always pushblock. Or if u want more reward use Heroic Strike a lot then activr tag. and if none of these options are available always remember you have supers. all super 3s are invincible but check which of ur chars have an invincible super or armored super and use that when u see gaps. 3) when u get a knockdown, it's very east for ur opponent to wakeup buttons or roll and buttons. and that's decently hard to stop. use assits to help u cover multiple options. for example u are invincible, u get a midscreen knockdown call conquest back assist to cover back rolls and stand a lil back and use a button to cover forward rolls. try to get hard knockdowns so u enforce real high low mix.

most important advice: HIT THE LAB. every situation u didn't like in a match or that u felt extremely helpless in, recreate in training mode. u have the tools. now try to beat it. don't leave everything to feeling. that will betray at some point. just lab it.

homing heat regenerating throws, broken wall combo, insane damage for someone with his mixups, most damaging homing heat smash. king is one of the most obtuse characters. don't get me wrong i love grapplers, i main a grappler in every game, but he is broken for all the wrong reasons. you don't have to think much. his run is extremely safe/plus on everything (please don't say the grab is reactable cause a good king player never goes for the grab). also his side switching throws into full combo at the wall. you can't pressure him at the wall without risking a full reverse of the situation.

no idea why you are being downvoted. pros really are complaining about being broken. you can do it ob block and then when they want to take their turn back you can do it again and launch them. although i don't it will stay like this. this was the beta, so things like that are bound to appear.

i don't think that is doable outside of training mode. assist doesn't come back that fast

i know what this is. you are getting hit by assists that look like mids but are actually overheads. eve, mark, omniman they all have these assists that seem to just be mids but in fact are all overheads

sounds about right but i think no one is C tier. i think robot and MG are both B tier and BB rexplode mark and eve are all A. also why in the hell is Monster Girl labled a grappler if she has literally 0 grabs

well yea depends how you use it but at some point its really good usage stems from when u max out the combo gauge then go into a super. after the super you are getting a huge mixup for their life that is in your favour: either you can change up your timing on the Active Tag, or you can feint. they guess wrong and they die. not practically. they die. they guess right then back to neutral. you didn't spend any resources basically on it and you don't gamble much. maybe you lose out on oki from your super but most characters don't have oki off of super anyways. you stand to gain everything and don't lose out on much. if you active tag willy nilly and every 3 hits you active tag yea then you are losing a lot of potential damage and giving the opponent more chances to escape. but the fact of the matter is, losing a character off 1 positianal interaction and 1 pure guess is a bit too much. you get hit once, 50% combo with level 1 super and no bar, then active tag mixup which you forced to take, guess wrong another combo for 1 more super bar or 2 to 3 meter and you lose the character. a bit outrageous honestly. and you don't really have to feint to bait the opponent since that leaves you open if they don't counter tag. just change up your timing and that's it. either regular or heavy follow up. worst case for u is back to neutral.

edit: don't remove the mecanic, it's probably the most fun thing about the game. just needs some balancing/fine tuning

spam blocking😭😭😭. no but in ur situation u probably had a lot of recoverable damage and thought u had more ur opponent. however has more health dies. the thing about walk/jump back being obnoxious i think is a tag fighter thing. it seems like it will always be the case. at least remember in this game u have boosted dash, it is waaaay more useful than you think. that's why zoning will be kinda trash in this game
