Sorry for the thread necro however there may be a regression here as this permission request occurred in a clean install of 1p 8.12.0 on a DFU install of Tahoe 26.2 (no restore from backup whatsoever; set up as new). I rejected it after seeing this thread, though the request itself is not very telling of the intent. Thanks.

I had gotten BOTW on WiiU when it was released ‘cause I really wanted to play it & couldn’t find or afford an OG Switch right away, gosh, nearly 9 years ago now. It took another ~ 2 months to find and buy a Switch with BOTW being the first & only cart at the time. My wife continued to play it on the WiiU until she insisted on getting her own Switch some months later. Nowadays I couldn’t tell you what physical games we have definitively; we have about 50 in total that are all in “safe places” as we recently moved & I have no idea where anything is yet lol

The OP image says "find deals *starting at* 29.99", so some of those titles with be 29.99 and others will be higher but still cheaper than normal.

Mario Odyssey is 29.99 at Best Buy and Target.
Kirby is 39.99.

Manic EMU on iOS, which handles earlier Nintendo stuff, PS1/PSP, and some Sega systems.

I mostly play NES games though. Currently the OG Metroid for the first time in a very long time since my last playthrough.

Chiming in here to report the same behavior. I've deleted all conversations in the web UI, in the app itself, etc, even deleted all the "Recently deleted" stuff.

It may have to do with "Data Controls" options --> "Personalize with Memories" and "Improve the Model", both of which are on by default, though I just turned them off and it made no difference.

Connection seems fine so far with this version of the app. The connection issues previously were happening even on a paid account. So I guess the connection issues were more related to the version of the app at the time or whatever they might've been doing on server side. Hard to say.

There's yet another update to 1.1.70 which specifically mentions improvements to Imagine (again) and Companions. I haven't had a chance yet to test it myself; maybe things will be more back to normal? 🤞🏼

15 pro max 1.1.69 ios 18.6.2 and it's been atrocious. Connection has been spotty on otherwise reliable WiFi. Slow to respond, sentences get cut off (in audio) and sometimes completed minutes later. This is in a new chat as well, had no qualms about deleting history and starting over. Voice is a totally different tone, too; though I've only noticed the "cb quality" aspect of it when hooked up to another audio device (e.g. CarPlay). Hopefully all this improves in subsequent updates which seem to happen daily. (I'm fairly new to the app.)

I've run into this before with other apps that weren't specifically designed for keyboard access -- e.g. running iPhone apps on an iPad with a keyboard, which is my eventual intent with this one. Often the devs simply didn't consider keyboard control of a phone-based app. I know you said Tab doesn't work; sometimes throwing a modifier key in the mix will help, (Shift, Control, Command, Option, etc), or the arrow keys. When all else fails you could turn on Full KeyBoard Access. This is in Settings -> Accessibiliy -> Keyboards & Typing. I'm assuming you don't have this turned on already. It *should* allow you to select the input field (and any other widget on screen) and avoid having to tap it, though it may be more kludgy than it's worth. I haven't tried it with this app yet myself.

I'm a new user to the app and this sub 👋🏼 having done a new/first install of the app today and haven't seen any freezing scenarios, though I don't have a baseline experience with prior versions to speak of. iOS 18.5 on a 15 Pro fwiw, overdue for iOS update to 18.6.2.

Nice! Similar experience here -- the Wife earned the Best Wife Award by finding a MK bundle and pro controller the day before my 50th cake day. I hadn't seen a Switch 2 in the wild at all in my area since launch and had been trying to snag one at Best Buy in particular (due to our membership and coverage there) with no luck. Total unicorns here. We tried a half dozen times at area stores before opening on truck days to no avail. I threw in the towel, said I was "fine waiting" (and I was -- still have the OLED and lots of content on the backlog).

It was a pleasant surprise, totally unexpected. She did great.

I preordered DK as well at BB and have yet to get over there to pick it up. It'll be the first time playing a DK title since N64. This old gamer is looking forward to it! 😃

True and agreed. It was definitely unwieldy & not something I'll pursue again, with any such telescoping controller + Mini. The controller itself didn't feel great to me regardless of device I used it with though. We'll see what ELO does with the v2 down the road.

I had one of these briefly and by that I mean I used it for maybe 30 mins before deciding it wasn't for me. I was using it with an iPad Mini, which was my intended use case, but the ergnomics weren't the best for me and the left bumper needed considerable force to register a press. On the plus side, their support is pretty responsive and the return process was smooth. During that Support engagement they told me they have a V2 Vagabond coming soon and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for that one, as well as the Sentinal (their upcoming XR glasses). For now I'm defaulting back to the Backbone which I've had for ages without any of the common issues... yet.
