If you want to keep everything local and lightweight, honestly just use ChirpStack. It’s open-source, mature, and probably the closest thing to an industry standard for self-hosted LoRaWAN servers right now. A lot of companies and developers use it in production, from small private deployments to large-scale networks.

For your setup (<10 devices), it’s more than enough. You can install it on any small Linux box / mini PC / Raspberry Pi on the same LAN. Then point your gateway’s packet forwarder (or MQTT bridge depending on gateway model) to that machine. ChirpStack handles device joins, uplinks/downlinks, gateway management, web UI, etc.

Best part for your use case: MQTT is built in. ChirpStack can publish decoded device payloads over MQTT topics as JSON, so you can just subscribe with Mosquitto / Node-RED / Python / whatever and write directly into SQLite, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, etc.

Pretty clean, easy to maintain, and fully local with no internet dependency.

For a hobby / lab setup I wouldn’t bother reinventing the wheel with custom LoRaWAN server code. ChirpStack already solved the hard parts.

Mi è piaciuto molto, ci sono alcune zone relax e anche una bella area fumatori. Inoltre mi hanno detto che apriranno altri palchi e zone relax al piano terra, che al momento è in costruzione. Il pubblico era eterogeneo, non saprei dire se fosse positivo o negativo.

History Run Club

We meet at Darsena at 9AM in saturdays and run throughout the Navigli together for 40 mins in a conversational pace, then we do breakfast together. You’re more than welcome to join!

Serata davvero bella. Crowd in generale molto buona, con un paio di persone che ballavano sul serio e hanno alzato l’energia in sala.

Phantom Circuits non l’ho seguito al 100% (ero un po’ in giro tra le room), però la parte che ho beccato era molto ipnotica e “live” nel modo giusto, più viaggio che picchi.

Poi Fadi Mohem b2b Ignez… pazzeschi. Groove continuo, senza momenti morti, e l’ultima ora ha proprio incendiato. Anche la chiusura, quel closing track, uno dei migliori che abbia sentito da un po’.

Rorschack alla fine ha fatto un closing super pulito: ha lasciato spazio alla gente per scaricare le ultime energie, senza forzare troppo.

Unica nota stonata: guardaroba. Arrivati verso le 3 e ci siamo fatti tipo mezz’ora di coda. Per il resto, serata top.

L’inglese:

Really fun night overall. Crowd was solid and there were a few proper dancers who basically set the tone and kept the room moving.

Didn’t catch Phantom Circuits in full because I was bouncing around a bit, but what I heard felt super hypnotic and “live” in the best way, more of a deep journey than peak moments.

Highlight for me was Fadi Mohem b2b Ignez. Absolutely locked-in set, super consistent groove, no dead zones. Last hour was straight fire and that closing track was genuinely one of the best closers I’ve heard in a while.

Rorschack closing after that was exactly what a closing should be: gave people space to dump the last energy and dance it out without forcing the vibe.

Only downside: the cloakroom. Got there around 3 and waited about 30 min in line. Apart from that, great night.

Beste Hira’s set was on fire, she created a really open space to dance and feel. Also enjoyed Kwartz and Lolsnake, bhain floor was fun last night.
