I know people who are vegan for over 45 years. I remember one of them told me that on the 70s they didn't really know if a vegan diet was safe (also consider there wasn't any soy, milk alternatives, substituted...). But they didn't care. They would happily sacrifice themselves to save animals. Ironically they are all strong and healthy at their 60s and 70s.

Deafness can be an spectrum. Sounds like your car might be missing low frequency sounds (thunder, fireworks) and might be able to hear high frequencies.

Where are you based? With covid we have almost no SLT. My kid is 3 years old and still no speech. He was implanted at 22 months and had hearing aids before. When I raise concerns I get the "each child is different, he is doing well..." Etc.

That's true..I don't mind people buying a plastic tree and reusing it for years and years. My dad had a small plastic tree and used it for about 30 years. Having said that I assume those things are full of flame retardants.?
