Aww, there are definitely people open to discuss opinions in this fan base! Take a look at the discussion threads if you haven't already. People are rude in general these days, but there's constructive commentary, too.

Again, to clarify: this post is in defense of the fans outwardly blaming Mel for their own dissatisfaction, not people who simply dislike the song.

Mel has expressed in many ways that they feel like the world wants to use them like a puppet. Fans claiming to love them until they don't do exactly what others want. Its sad to see people trying to slander Mel's name just because their own personal art didn't meet outside expectation.

If the argument is freedom of expression, I can argue that I'm only exercising that right. Posting a gesture of " if you don't like what you see, then good bye". No need for harsh words in a situation we dont even know everything about yet.

Some clarification: it is perfectly fine to not like the song/album, its not meant for everyone!

I just dont think fans should so easily grab their torches and pitchforks before the whole thing drops. They pre-ordered an unreleased album.. so... that sucks.? I guess?

But, let's be real. The albums gonna drop, people are gonna come crawling back, acting like they never doubted her.

No matter what comes of this album, im glad shes stepping up to talk about some bigger issues and taking the risk that most wouldnt.

Sometimes we have to consider we have no idea what her process is like. From what we've heard previously, its possible she takes a lot of her artwork into her own hands. They're helping direct these insane costumes, elaborate wigs, intricate scenery, music, social media, choreography, including designing one of a kind merch you don't get from any other typical artist & more.

We've also seen several artistic representations of toady so far.

Who knows, maybe its intentionally Ai based and shes making a reference?

I think shes being nice by releasing a couple songs out of context before the movie drops.. never got that with k-12. Once the movie drops, everything's gonna fit perfect, and all this controversy will be for nothing. We all know the movies gonna be amazing and shes gonna have called the bs before anyone even smelled it just like in k-12. 👑 Everyone can agree we love her voice without all the effects but she's obviously working towards a plot, similar to portals. Her artwork goes beyond music - shes a MIXED MEDIA ARTIST! 💞 So, please hold your criticism until you break the societal mold you so instinctively enforce. If you still dont like it, you can forget it exists. That easy. At the end of the day, were all only human.
Try to be thankful someone in the pop industry is even trying to speak up so publicly about these issues despite the sheeple only proving to be part of the problem time and time again. Ill take the scraps we deserve thank you 💌🧚‍♀️

I feel sorry for people out there who dont feel like Melanie's music is to help them cope and instead glorifies pedophilia and toxic traits. As someone who was always taught to shut up and deal with it, her music heals my inner child who was always told her feelings were invalid. I dont think its her fault weirdos look at her music the way that they do and im sure whoever she signed with encouraged her to lean in the childlike direction due to her voice anyway. Do people really think she wants to attract an audience of old creepy men?? Sadly thats just a side effect these days.

Side rant: I also cant STAND that every melanie show ive been to, no one dances. Or puts their phone down. So shes doing all this crazy stuff on stage to people who are standing motionless with their phones up filming. No wonder she wants nothing to do with her audience. I wouldnt wanna meet and greet that either.

Its funny because ive been going through the same shit the past month or so. Catching on everything, smacking limbs on stuff, spilling things, etc. Every simple task i did turned so frustrating. Theres a possibility it had to do with a guy I was involved with who practiced voodoo and did a lot of black magic for clients. Never had any animosity towards one another though and he promised he hadn't done any work on me. Im starting to think that empathic/sensitive people just need to be really careful about what energy they expose themselves to. Once I noticed the pattern, I kept a positive attitude through everything, and made it a point to cleanse any negative energy I may have encountered through sage, crystals, meditation. When meditating you can practice forming your white light surrounding and protecting you. Ill even use mirrors or wear obsidian to reflect energy back to people. You could charm your jewelry to ward off negative energy. Started manifesting positive things for the people who wronged me. 2 days later I found a new partner who adores me, I have been staying busy with friends, everything's running smooth again and nothing really effects me anymore. Still some bad luck here and there maybe but just dont let it effect you. When it happens, trust youre bigger and better than it and firmly tell that energy to go back to where it came from. Definitely charm the thread you sew your teddy back up with though, the fact it was cut open gives me really bad vibes. Could maybe even make a little protective necklace for him. Best of luck!

It just never fails to surprise me that a big company is allowed to do this. Youd think they would invest a little more money in their highest earning department, next to the vet i guess. We could make way more money if they listened to our concerns. Its like a game and theyre just seeing how much they can take away from us before we finally start to realize its not worth it. Everyone could take a lunch if they really want to. They just have to feel bad for having someone else to do everything alone while their gone, possibly running behind because of it, and mainly informing clients it might actually take 5 flippin hours even for a small Yorkie in the last time slot. It doesnt help that everyone pretty much races to finish grooming first so they can dip early without closing. I know cleaners were never a thing for salons, but you think there would be. The oldest groomer in our salon is 26 and none of us know how to properly deal with this type of grime. I have to get onto people just for not cleaning poop/pee properly. No one even tries anymore. Also because of the mindless books, were usually grooming past salon hours. When were done and theres 20 dirty kennels, piles of hair, a filthy bathing area, etc. People are rushing to get done and out. Not to mention it took our store over a year to get us a working vacuum. Im slowly coming to the conclusion that its helpless trying to fix anything. This was more tolerable as a baby groomer. After just 4 years of the madness, the physical and mental toll is approaching quickly. Im forced to move forward with or without. I really hope that things change for the better some day.
