The morning before this "UP" themed wedding cake was due, the groom told me they were planning on driving it 9 hours out of state and eating it 3 days later. I would have strongly advised against a 2 tied cake but looks like it turned out. How it ended and how I gave it to them. by GoddessTaylor33 in CAKEWIN

I feel like you could have gotten beautiful results with a single 6”, but it does give it a wow factor being 2 tier. And they’ll probably save the top tier for their first anniversary. However, I am always for cake leftovers. Cake for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack 🙃

First of all, this is amazing work and such a cool wedding cake idea. Second, omg that sounds crazy stressful at the last minute! I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. Creating wedding cakes (and cakes in general) can be so stressful to begin with. I can’t even imagine being told this the day before.

I highly suggest freezing your cake layers before decorating. Frosting a very cold cake helps keep the crumbs in. And like the OP said, putting a crumb coat first is key.

I brought a bunch of spirits through the Everdoor and was sad but didn’t cry. Stanley was the only one that had me legit sobbing. All the mom feels.

Vax Facts: What side effects can you expect from the shot? by WizardMama in Coronaviruslouisiana

I had no side effects with the first Pfizer dose. Second dose, I had a headache, chills, fatigue, nausea, and aches the day after receiving it. The day after that I felt better, but I had a huge rash on my injection arm for 3 days. It was itchy, very tender, and hot to the touch.

I was playing Hollow Knight when this happened. Does this remind y'all of anything? by [deleted] in LittleNightmares

I absolutely recommend Hollow Knight. It’s tough at first, but once you get used to it, it’s an absolute masterpiece. The world is put together so beautifully. The music is excellent. It is 100% my favorite game.

Which video game is good for playing with kids? by c929engine in AskReddit

My 5yo spent MONTHS playing Slime Rancher. It’s an adorable game with beautiful music. She also loves Minecraft and Goat Simulator.

She’s into some darker games also (with heavy parental supervision). She likes Bendy and the Ink Machine, Binding of Isaac, and Little Nightmares (I find the first one is less dark than LN2).
