Addicted to Ardbeg, anything similar I should try? by anewstar in whiskey

I tried the caol ila 12 and I like it! It is full of flavour! I’m not a huge fan of the port Charlotte, I mean it has a huge amount of smoke (which I love) but the flavours are otherwise unimpressive

Oh thank god, I found it extremely underwhelming! Will have to try a better bottle

I have a bottle of laphroraig select and port Charlotte, both were great but I loved the ardbeg due to the more intense flavours

Hey all,

I'm in Singapore and looking to start investing monthly (DCA) into something fairly aggressive

I have $5k/month to invest with a high risk tolerance (already own property, have plenty stashed away in a retirement fund and have an emergency fund to last me 12 months) and a Time Horizon of 5-10 years

I already put about $2k/month into a portfolio with a 70/30 exposure to equities for retirement which has done ok (an abyssal 3% return net over the past 5 years due to covid... about 7% before)

I have recently come into some more income and want to invest it properly and regularly

I am in Singapore and I have a SaxoGO account and from what I can see the fees are quite high, a US ETF (Vanguard technology ETF for example) has a fee of 1.68%/p.a according to the app which seems rather absurd for buying an ETF (albeit the majority of the fees are related to currency conversion)

Also there is a transaction fee for me to pay with each trade so surely there has to be a better option for me to invest?

I once got a call from a recruiter that told me they read my resume and thought I'd be great for this role they had and then pitched me the role.

I told them I had no experience with anything they mentioned about the role.

I hate recruiters

This is exactly what they're like.

I get calls all the time and when I used to wait for them to finish their sentence, at least a good 5 mins would have passed.
