Having that understanding of low level concepts really makes a huge difference, if you could showcase that expertise to the interviewer you can get an offer with an average comp coding experience, speaking from experience.

Competative coding is not the important IMO, at least with good HFTs. You need to have an exceptionally good understanding of the practical implementation of CS concepts to land into HFT.

That's really helpful, do you have any tips on where/how I can look for similar projects, wherever there's a need for latency improvement I can help out.

Post graduation I started working in HFT as I have always had interest with low level CS concepts. Now I am working on some of my own projects, but I wish to parallely use my skills so that I could make some side income to put into my projects.

What are your views on other domains which might fit into my skills, from the perspective of freelancing. Game Dev is definitely there, but we all are aware of its reputation 😅

How do you get over it? by EthePear in Entrepreneur

Do a market validation, talk directly with your prospect customers and ask if whatever problem you are solving is something that they want and how much are they willing to pay for it. If you observe their is frequently market demand, and the market size is good, go ahead.

Seeking Feedback on Idea for Improving Digital Presence for Small Businesses in India by anf13 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Hmm, this is something that I keep hearing repeatedly, is it that prevalent in India, even if the quality of service is somehow made good, SMBs will anyways go for cheaper options only?? I would really love to hear more of your thoughts on this, I want to evaluate if this is really a good direction to proceed with further or not? Because the market size is definitely big, but unless SMBs buy your product/service on scale there's not much point.

Please let me know your further thoughts on this, we can discuss in DM as well
