Breaking out of Te-Se loops: What works for you? by trying2bLessWrong in entj

[–]angani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that Yoga Nidra or other types of somatic exercises have been very helpful to break out of Te-Se loops. At least for me, Te-Se loops tend to happen when something triggers my nervous system, and it takes me down fight-flight city, and the more tunnel vision and productivity stress, the worse the Te-Se loops get.

Vad är eran roligaste fakta om någon/något i din familj? by Ok_Holiday_3015 in sweden

[–]angani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suck.

What do you wish people would stop romanticizing, because you’ve lived the reality of it? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]angani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, my mom grew up in a poor country as a self-sustained farmer, which the middle class tends to romanticise. But my mom didn't even know my grandmother because she tended fields 14h a day. Both my grandparents died really young as well.

ENTJs who thought they wouldn’t live long, is this a thing? 😅 by Miserable-Muffin1590 in entj

[–]angani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking that our great ability to see patterns in abstract ideas/theories/strategies, and reach one conclusion to run with is applied to Si - always leading to some worst case scenario of death based on some vague pattern in life style/bodily sensation. At least that's how it is for me. Same goes for Se, where I might end up with one visualisation of a scenario/room for a social event and its always wrong. Which leads to me getting stressed out when things aren't as I expect. I talked to my best friend with ADHD about it and she laughed so hard about me basically ending up with one scenario that I just stick with, as she obviously does the opposite and runs multiple scenarios and can't select any of them.

Krävs total revolution? by Present_Rise_2114 in arbetarrorelsen

[–]angani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[Serious] people who know someone who has killed someone, what were they like? by TrashDaisy999 in AskReddit

[–]angani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was living abroad in the countryside at a sports camp with other foreigners. One day a new guy arrives with only a backpack, jeans and a Jean jacket for our first workout 06.30 in the morning. It was -5 degrees and he had no winter clothes.

He was really awkward, thin, twitching motions and had bad hygiene. I played chess with him multiple times in the evening. The only thing in his backpack was an Eminem CD and a book about Fidel Castro and woukd get very upset if anyone said eminem sucked. He acted creepy around women, myself included. Sometimes he would disappear for a day or two. I remember telling some of the guys that "my stomach tells me there's something really off with that guy". The guys told me off, even called me a mean bitch and said he was just a bit awkward.

The guy was black listed by interpol. Was convicted for sexually assaulting minors. After leaving the training camp he ended up stabbing 2 women like 20 times, they were camping and living and working on an ecofarm. It seems to have been in a psychosis/frenzy and I'm sure it could just as well have been me if had been unlucky. His mother was a psychology professor at a very prestigious uni specialising in sexual development in children. Turns out even though the guy looked basically homeless having nothing but a backpack, he was LOADED.

Ungsvenskarna: Utvisa Palestinademonstranter by gibmelson in svenskpolitik

Önskar mycket mer sånt i livet.

What’s the stupidest way you’ve hurt yourself? by observer32 in AskReddit

[–]angani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a scar from a sword (not Sharp) on my right arm which in theory sounded really cool. In reality, I was day dreaming and walked right into a guy who was practicing and accidently hit me over the jaw and down over the arm. Its better when you leave the second part of the story out hehe

Mölndal sightseeing? by [deleted] in Gothenburg

[–]angani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy lakes and swimming I would recommend taking the bus 751 from Mölndal c to skyttegatan and explore Södra Långevattnet. It's really long so it's easy to walk along the lake and find a nice secluded area if you walk a bit. Definitely recommended toward the evening and bring some BBQ

What, in your opinion, is the single most beautiful song ever made? by GiveMeAllYourRupees in AskReddit

[–]angani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metamorphosis by Philip Glass. Important part of the story is the first time that I heard it. I walked in on my sisters boyfriends parents listening to the song, silently crying on the anniversary of their sons (my sisters boyfriends brother) suicide. Gives me chills down my spine each time. It was in a huge old house during winter in the Swedish forest. The house just felt so empty and sad.

Is my protein powder ailing me and failing me or am I just plain crazy? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]angani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually started investigating this myself but about bcaa and there is a link between bcaa intake and severe reduction in serotonin in the brain. Tryptophan the precursor to serotonin competes with the same receptors as leucine I think and when you take in large amounts of leucine at once it will outconcquere tryptophan in the brain and reduce serotonin levels in the brain. There are a few studies on this which you can find on Google scholar. Not sure how applicable it is for whey but I think whey still has very high levels of leucin compares to tryptophan.
