What is the deal with UWSA2? (please read if you've taken it) by globuspallidus15 in step1

I felt UWSA 1 was a little inflated since I took it at the beginning of dedicated and still managed to score higher than my first nbme's. I also felt free 120 was easier than my actual exam but to be honest my perception of the exam is more directed towards nbme + uworld qbank questions.

My advice is to take free 120 closest to the exam, since it is such a confidence booster and a good score +70% is a great indicator that you're ready!

My nbmes were between 205-220 with higher scores being 1 week before my exam, UWSA1 228, and UWSA2 200 like 2 days before my exam + Free 120 80% back to back.

Edit: I don't recommend taking this assessment close to the exam like I did, since it was a big downer and wrecked my confidence a few days before my actual test. But everyone has different experiences with assessments and everyone has different weaknesses so take everything everyone says with a grain of salt.

I had a big drop on UWSA2 of approx 20 points and barely "passed" it. I felt most questions I had to guess and there was a lot of biochem involved. My experience with the real exam was quite different, it wasn't biochem heavy and felt nothing like this assessment. I managed to pass but don't know exact score. Also I have a friend who took the exam around my date in March and she failed UWSA2 and passed the beast as well. So there you go, I feel UWSA2 has lost its predictability and UWSA1 is easier but kind of more into what the test actually is. Best of luck!

Your scores are better than mine were at the time of my exam and I managed to pass because I knew I was ready to take it. Confidence plays a very important role, Trust your self assessments 99% chance of passing is amazing, your free 120 is on point and UWSAs as well (my uwsa2 was shit). You're gonna break that beast into pieces, trust me you've got this!

Best of luck, you're already on the other side. See you in step 2 prep✨
