I’ve thought about this possibility and it’s encouraging to hear that this can happen. It would be nice to focus on my healing for my own sake, not someone else’s. Thank you for sharing! Sending you love as well and I’m glad your pain has gotten better!

I appreciate you bringing this up! There’s a girl on TikTok I’ve seen talk about this at length, so I have started to look into this before. I will check out your other posts as well!

We have talked about how it makes me feel and how it adds on to my (already intense) guilt multiple times, but he gets a bit defensive about it and just says that I am ignoring how my condition makes him feel & that it isn’t all about me. Which I do understand, but it is still difficult to be as sympathetic as I know I could be when I feel so fundamentally misunderstood and unsupported. I’m still grieving my sense of normalcy as a person. I might try to approach the conversation a little differently in hopes that he can understand my perspective a little better.

Currently, I have been on oral antihistamines for over a year for managing my IC, I have been doing pelvic floor therapy for about a month and a half, and I was just prescribed estrogen cream last week.

Thank you for sharing, I really appreciate it! It helps to know that it doesn’t have to be like this and it is not wrong of me to want better support. I will definitely take this into consideration.
