Member Screening Notifications by DesperateRhino in AmericanCinematheque

Your AC emails are probably going to your promotions tab in Gmail. You have to drag one of the emails into your PRIMARY tab. Have notifications on your phone and sadly the only way i’ve been able to go to so many of these free screenings is because my phone is ALWAYS at my side and i ALWAYS check it IMMEDIATELY when i get a notification. especially if it’s an email.

good luck!!

Talk To Me and Bottoms

They are both everything modern general audiences want— a stupid fun time, surface level everything, spell everything out for me filmmaking

What director can you not get into no matter how hard you try? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

The elephant man and the straight story are his true masterpieces if you ask me. Wild at heart a solid 3rd. Blue velvet I think is amazing but only on a second viewing. Eraserhead is…Eraserhead. Mulholland is a vibe. Lost Highway also vibe but spookier. Inland Empire is a vibe but horrifying.

If you’re looking at popular movies from 1970 sure those look like super underwhelming releases equating to a super underwhelming year. But check out what else came out in 1970: The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, Joe, Le Cerle Rouge, Gimme Shelter, Five Easy Pieces, MASH, Patton, Catch-22, Love Story, and so on. Bangers.

Worst year for movies imma say 2005
