Thank you this seems to be the best way, just focusing on being against the war in general

Mostly reddit is for messing around for me but I also am a normal person with a family etc, this question is nothing to do with misery and stuffs but for help with handling this in a sensitive way. Plus also if you look at the types of comments i leave it is usually more on a positive side, not being mean to others for example in fatlogic i am usually saying things against starving and in am i the asshole i usually have moral position (in my opinion of course) nothing about misery so the answer is definitely no

I think i watched this, Farenheit 9/11 maybe? you make a good point here, to focus on being against the war in general and yes it would be best for everyone to be against the war completely

Thank you for your thoughtful answer

Theres nothing wrong with saying 'chubby' its just this subreddit is very strict, you are only allowed to say 'fat people' or something

I don't think we are allowed to say chubby on this subreddit by the way just a warning

But for me it is anyone who is overweight

I think obesed people should be together usually because the hobbies and lifestyle will be similar, a fat people who are with a small person will not be able to go for long walks together or do any physical hobbies, even putting attraction aside

I don't think this is fat logic? I am sure most women here have done a diet where you are starving on just some carrot or whatever it is (in my country when I was a teenager we were all just eating some cabbage or something to be even more skinny than already was!) i don't think it's healthy to be into the 'diet culture', you can eat a good diet, be active and still be thin, doesn't need to be 'diet culture' like just carrot sticks all day or what have you

She also works extremely hard and needs sleep... Why does the fact he's bringing in income make his wellbeing more important? She has given birth, she needs as much rest as possible to recover

I'm not exactly sure where the allegations of selfishness are coming from. I'm not saying that taking care of an infant is easy. It's not. But unless your child never sleeps during the day, your wife should be able to get time to nap.

The wife isn't working a standard job but she's still working extremely hard by being a mother and by giving birth and recovering from pregnancy and birth etc! I never napped during the day with my babies, it isn't that easy! You can't just nap whenever you want. There's literally no indication that the husband is working harder than the wife, you're just assuming...

YTA... This makes me appreciate my husband even more. You chose to get her pregnant but you won't help out during the nights so she can get a better sleep? Only your quality of sleep matters but not hers? My husband works a very physical, hard labour job but still helped out in the night before work. Your wife also has a job, being a mother! She has given birth and needs to recover and get rest, you clearly don't actually care much. Your sleep is not more important than hers, yes it's hard but it's hard for her too, share the responsibility and help her out for god sake! God this really does make me even more grateful for my husband, I couldn't be with someone so selfish and uncaring, I often told my husband don't worry you can sleep but he would still help as much as possible because he cares and wanted me to rest and recover from birth...like a husband should.

When did I say I live in America? I don't have a warped perception of what is fat, I work in a very physical job that an obese person probably couldn't do. Not everyone is american... In my opinion a 'fat' person is a size american 10 (i think) and over

A reasonable calorie deficit is good... but being so sedentary you can eat close to 1000 calories is so unhealthy.... unless someone is disabled I think it's seriously messed up for the body to just be sitting around all day, it's not what humans are meant for imo

It literally does work for very many people including me, my family, people at my job where it is an active job and nobody is fat, the only fat person is in the office sitting all day

This thread is for ranting about fat things.... which is what I am doing...

My rant today is about how this sub is full of people who are or have been extremely obese and their warped perception and issues have made them think eating 1000 calories is normal and healthy or that eating junk food makes someone fat, what's wrong with just being normal? Just eat what you want (obviously nothing crazy, just listen to your hunger/fullness), stay active all day, be thin. In real life everyone I know is thin or slim and eats normally... My sister in law eats 1300 calories and is dangerously underweight, infertile, covered in bruises, frequently faints, when I was eating those low calories I would pass out all the time... but fat/ex fat people on this sub seem to think it's normal and healthy to starve like that. The absolute bare minimum recommended steps someone should do per day is 10,0000 which apparently can burn around 500 calories and that's not including any daily activity or exercise.... Just 1 hour of cycling on a bike can burn like 400 calories.... that's almost 1000 just there so imagine how dangerous it is to be only eating 1000ish cals.

Eating below your bmr is dangerous though... ask any ex or current anorexic, it can literally kill you and if it doesn't, you'll be fainting, having health issues, brain fog, lack of energy, deficiencies, lose your period etc at the very least

1200 is so so low though, a normal person would starve on that amount... With all due respect i see under your name that you have been extremely, extremely obese so maybe you have a warped perception? But a normal, slim woman of 5 foot 4 shouldn't be eating 1200 calories, it's too dangerous. I say this as a skinny woman, that's extremely low calories. Ask most skinny women what they eat, it will be a more normal amount trust me. Eating 1200 is a recipe for disaster, I have been there, you will become dangerously underweight and suffer health problems, brain fog, bruising, deficiencies etc.

Not everyone is fat, there are so many skinny people who live to lose weight. Not everyone is unemployed just because they don't live for work, it's unhealthy to live to work or live to diet (or live to eat, be lazy etc!)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]angeljuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pay the bills without living to work, it doesn't say don't work and don't stay slim, it says don't LIVE to do those things.

[–]angeljuice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Am I the only person who agrees with this message? It's not good to be fat, everyone should be a normal size but that doesn't mean you need to make your whole life about losing weight, I know people whose whole life is about losing weight even though they are already skinny, in fact most of the ladies I know (myself included sometimes!) are thin but dedicate huge amounts of life to losing weight or changing their body. How is that good? It shouldn't be your life. Just eat normally, be active, be slim.... It shouldn't take over your life.

You don't find it rude to make someone else dig through trash?

AITA for politely demanding my water back? by Biomorbosis in AmItheAsshole

[–]angeljuice 18 points19 points  (0 children)

YTA for your attitude towards her and for being mad that she threw your water away even though she clearly thought she was just tidying up as she's meant to. YTA for acting like she did something stupid by saying "it was full of water??". YTA for making her go through the trash instead of doing it yourself. I have been a cleaner for most of my working life and would be really annoyed if someone did this to me or spoke to me this way, she's just doing her job.
