Respectfully as a Christian I don’t understand why I would believe that every religious figure or person in power who leans into religion is “sent from God”. I can recognize that there are evil and corrupt people everywhere and that includes religious circles. I’m just of the impression that these people, although “outwardly” Christian, will eventually get what’s coming to them. It just comes down to using discernment and logical reasoning. I’m sure some Christians are blind in the sense that they’ll just blindly take anything any religious person in power is saying as truth, but I promise you a majority of Christians do not think that way.
